Blair's best game.....ever.

Blair had his best game of the year so far by a mile.

Just makes me hate him more now seeing that he can be a very good player if he just puts in a little bit of effort. Why can't he just do that every week and not only when he comes up against his former team? Farkin merkin bludger.

Furthermore, and not just hating on Sheens, I'm happy to put half the blame on Sheens for not getting anything out of him and not getting him to play anywhere near his potential. That is the coach's job.

Did you see him and Bellamy laughing their arses off and joking around while Ellis was on the mic?

Like the Great Train Robbers toasting in Spain after the heist of the decade

Typical......players playing for themselves, a perfect example.

There is no team, its all individuals, every article Benji talks in half is about him, halfs about the team.

Its clear theyre not all on the same page, I think its also clear there are players not happy

I think Blair has put in the last 2 games he has played and it has given me some hope for the next couple of years.

We need to get more out of him though.

I'm as down on this team as anyone don't get me wrong. Moltzen is the softest prick to have donned these colours, Sheens should have been replaced 5 years ago and the continuing lack of having a halfback is just mind boggling.

Blair is interesting, he came to the club with high expectations from all and sundry, I don't think that a lack of effort is the issue with him. He is playing 80 minutes, he chases hard on the inside and pressures the kicker. He is a different style player to Ellis and maybe it's unfair to compare them at this stage because he came to us as a mature player with a great defensive skill set. I love Gareth and everything he has done at the club, I still thought his attacking game would have evolved more during his time at the club. I think Blair has plenty of upside. I worry that in this crazy Sheens system i.e constant team changes, inconsistent game plans & styles, questionable support staff structures, and the propensity to play people out of position or in multiple positions week after week it might have been quite difficult for Blair to adapt. He has only played for Bellamy with such a distinctive, structured game plan. He has played under dominant leaders in Smith, Cronk, Crocker, Slater. Besides the leaders the second tier players at the Storm always played with such determination and fear of letting their team mates down. These things add up to a pretty different situation for Blair at the Tigers.

We knew Blair was not a dominant personality coming in this year and I think that the adjustment from from the Storm to the shambolic Tigers is not to be sneezed at. We chose his price tag by giving him a big contract. Not his fault you take what you can. I think close scrutiny of Blair is understandable but maybe it's premature to be super harsh on him.

I'm directing my anger towards management, the coach and just for fun Timothy Moltzen as they are all useless with no upside.

2012 what went wrong ,f##king everything, what needs to be addressed, just about every f##king thing.
Start by getting rid of Moltzen and Ayshford these two are rubbish and have no concept or idea of how to play fullback or centre.Rowdy should be in the centres with Simona.Tedesco, Nofouluma and Koroibete should make up our back three.Marshall and Anasta will be our halves as there has been no attempt to sign a half back. Now for this to eventuate simply f**k Sheens off!

Ayshford has been shit but i wouldn't dump him just yet. He has good instincts, runs good lines etc.

If he was kept at centre all year and had an intelligent defence coach workibg with him, he'd have been much better.

Lawrence was barely better all year. Exactly same issues there too.

This us all Sheens fault.

Agreed. Both Lawrence and Ayshford were victims of Sheens' moving not only them around but their inside and outside men on an almost game by game basis. Continuity killed both of their seasons.
