I've watched both play. Blaise played 1st grade (premier) for Wainui for two seasons now, including last year when Wainui won the National Club competition. Given that he was playing at 17, in this comp is a measure of his potential. Wainui flogged the Auckland side that day (papanui I think it was) something that 54 - 20!

North City Vikings are a quality side. I could be corrected but I think Mulu was playing his first year at Premier level this year. They have got so much talent that anybody in the Prem team can play footy.

Wellington has a heap of these talented young blokes who have great skills and physical prowess. Unfortuntely, that alone does not guarantee success. Attitude is probably more important than ability in the NRL. Nobody picking up a contract is without ability. Its their attitude that gets them into 1st grade. Many boys from NZ, particularly from an islander background, do struggle when they get to Sydney because their families are so important to them.

Good luck to them both. Pity for the Wellington comp, but we always tend to loose our best. The standard was really good last season. Wainui tend to produce good players each year and then loose them to Oz continually. Luckily they have a good factory.
