Slightly less well than when he was at the Raiders in the final months before he left. And that was not good.

He'll be a step slower. Everyone will fall for his signature step & dummy again for about a month and then they won't.

He certainly won't be any keener for contact in defence than he was, after years in SL and that was a major reason he got moved on.

He could probably get a contract and float around as a Milford type "emergency half" but the glaring deficiencies would mean no one would want him starting long term and you may as well be investing in a young rookie half who'll at least tackle and might improve other areas...

Yeah Jack Bird is a class above Milford, two classes above Austin and 3 classes above Moses - who tbh kinda sucks.

I think Bird has the potential to be the best player in the world in 4 or 5 years.
