He is still only 17 - but will be the starting half in Flegg this week - get over to North Sydney and wtach him if you can. He and Nathan Armit were named to the Aussie Schoolboys. Some big wraps on both kids - Nathan is the starting prop in JF. I think Blake was actually named player of the tournament to.

A very very good player

long term 5/8 soultion he and Tim Smith could rival Kenny/Sterling for the Eels greatest halves combo if all things gone well.

as I said IF all goes well

- Both stay at the club
- Both stay injury free
- Both live up to potential

A lot of things could stop it from happening but they are both very very good prospects

Just Looking at the Westfield sports high team there are a few Parra players in the team.

Tony Williams
Jarryd Hayne
Blake Green

And a few more that I cant remember. I beleive they might be playing today in the Arrive Alive cup.

and people say that I have made big calls on here lately.....at least when i said jamie Lyon was our best talent since Peters Sterling he had almost won a comp with us and played for NSW and Australia on multiple occasions

you are making a statement about gous who haven't even played first grade, hell Green hasn't even played PL??? and your comparing them with the best halves combination in the modern era....bar none??????

I reckon they will be the best half / 5/8 combo since Kenny and sterling at parra. Key word there is Since. Not as good as them but they will be the next best thing in a few years time.

I'm still concerned about several comments on here claiming that Tim Smith lacks pace.

Is it true??

He is not fast but isn't slow either. Ask yourself was sterling, Johns or Stuart or even langer really fast??

Fair call, although in todays game, all the best halfbacks generally are.

When u think about it Suity who apart from these halfs Orford, Jones , Kimmorley, have pace??I can't think of Anymore really, the rest of them have average pace or standard pace e.g. Sherwin, Finch, Gower. I think everyone is getting away from what makes a half back great which is VISION, ORGANISING skills, and a Kicking game.

The people running 100m to score should be our 3/4 and Wingers setup by our halfs.

although it certainly helps......wingers, centres and fullbacks are the only players who truely need pace

and no Sterlo wasn't quick as a halfback, but he was quick between the ears

is Tim Smith quick between the ears, i have never seen him play?????

Time will tell if Tim can make it, I personally reckon he can. In Jersey fleg he was outstanding in Premier League it has taken him time to adapt apart from the 1st game in Premier League against the Tigers where he played really well.
