Hunt is playing fullback outside a backline that has Lockyer directing the traffic and he doesn't have the pressure of directing the play. Its a big ask for a kid to come into first grade and order blokes like Hindmarsh around and tell them what to do. As has been said he was good in Flegg and aside from one game in PL he hasn't shown the same form - let him find his feet now before too much pressure is placed in him.

but Witt got thrown into as bad or worse pressure last year and came out the other side and did better than that, he started to develop as a player.....but....

BS went and put his career back a full year by stopping his progression into first grade this season, with Wagon and Dykes in the halves

he is slowly regaining some form and confidence and Hindy was apparently quoted as saying much the same as you just said, its hard for him (Witt) to order older blokes around.....but he had got used to that last year and then got brushed and has had to start over

its one thing to come in and have the pressure you speak of.....but its another to come in, do the job, develop a game and then have it all taken away, just to be thrown back into a similar or worse situation halfway through a year and be expected to do it all over again and work miracles

i also agree Tim Smith probably needs more time, but sometimes if your ready your ready and Witt probably wasn't ready last year, but dealt with it

Don't forget people after last season and the big spending spree that Smithy went on, this year was going to be BIG, STRONG AND UGLY, and successful apparantly. What poor judgement that was. From one of the games best coaches some will tell us.
