Andy Blignaut become the first Zimbabwean to take a hat-trick in test cricket(I think) when he claimed 3 wickets in 3 balls against bangladesh.

He ended up with 3-12 in the second innings as he and his team went on there way to cruching the Bangladeshi's.

Earlier on SeanErvine completed a good batting double when he scored 86 and 74 in the 1st and 2nd innings's respectivly.

Blignaut is indeed the first of his countrymen to take a Test hat-trick.

Zimbabwe's only other international hat-trick was by Eddo Brandes back in early 1997 against England - he is the only Zimbabwean with a One-Day International hat-trick.

Blignaut's is a great achievement though - albeit against Bangladesh - especially given his wayward bowling in Australia just a few weeks ago. He has some potential, but seems to struggle with consistency.

Sean Ervine is a good solid cricketer - he is the sort of batsmen that would complement an Andy Flower if he were still playing. Just what Zimbabwe require in the post-A.Flower years.
