Blues Lose, Sharks to step up

The kicking game really fugged us! QLD were kicking deep in between mini and the wingers, whilst mullen was kicking....well straight to cutie....Not to mention their chase on the kicks were much more enthusiastic then ours

Oh yeah, but this isn't Mullen's fault. Graham Murray didn't buy him the right boots, so his kicks were off...and enthusiasm? Well obviously Graham Murray didn't give a good enough speech at half-time.

Rep squads assembled in a week are no reflection on the coach...the coach can do all he can to try and prepare the squad for the game, but come game time the players will play what they're used to. The side was pretty much the same side as usual, the only key difference being Mullen. I really don't think you can blame a poor performance on Graham Murray...like I said before, it was only a brain snap and a field goal difference...Queensland dominated and by all rights should have thrashed us...but as far as the scoreboard is concerned, there was nothing in it.

If we went on to tough out a win, would Murray still be a sh*t coach? It's tough enough being a club coach, but forget Origin...who'd want to coach in a series where your performance is judged on one game?

so if we lose this series ghoti, and that makes it 2 years in a row - who should cop the blame for consecutive poor series performnances? thats 3 games on the trot now.

that side last night looked crap - they were not organised, had no vision, didnt seem to be any structure to sets - it was awful to watch

these players are elite players of the comp, they already posess the skills

seemed to me they looked lost for a plan last night - but its only my opinion

one more loss in either of the next 2 games should provide bellamy with an opportunity in 08 me thinks

At one stage late in the first half Rabs said Qld looked tired and were congregating in the middle of the park.

I laughed out loud...

said to the missus ... this is what Qld do... they throw everything up the middle in the first half.. make our forwards tired and thump us with thier steppers and speed in the second half...

well..well.. we know what happened.

Would have been easy to coach against imo.

They'd be better off biding their time till he's gone if he's so bad. He can only harm them.

Why? What he said was completely true. In fact Bedsy is probably the trhird best hooker these days.

Hodges is made for Origin. sh*t like that gets under the opponents skin.

Yep, I can't wait until the Origin circus moves on without impacting to much on the Sharks season. Of course I'd like to see Gallen and Bird rewarded for their outstanding play with reps honours. Origin is fun to watch, but I don't really care who wins. I'm a Sharks fan first, second and last.
