Deadset the most overrated player in the NRL. I don't get the hype at all.

so it's all good that qld rate guerra, yet this bloke makes twice as many yards, scores 2-3 times as many tries and makes more tackles but is over-rated?

another example of nsw having too many clubs affecting bias swallowing state pride

Fifita has to start imo. HE can play big minutes and he has that x factor about him, that try against the warriors was ridiculous for a prop.

QLD approve this selection, useless plodder most of the time.

He is the nsw's version McQueen. They both have a job in their respective teams that they do very well. Corder and McQueen are both liked by their club's fans but their limitations are shown up at rep level. Both love to run off a short ball of their halves but you need a more rounded game at origin. You need to be able to play on the edge, but also get into the middle and make the hard yards if needed, which is why players like Hoffman, lewis and bird have shone on the nrl stage. He is a similar player to McQueen, Gillette and Gavin Cooper

i wouldn't complain if he started, but the back stanzas are just important as the first in origin, and the thought of fafita and klemmer tearing it up after both sides arms are locked in wrestle is very exciting

I think that's going to be the exact nsw team, not that I agree with all the selections

cordner: 120 m pg, 31 tackles, 4 tries for a backrower, find us some better stats from the qlders?

Which is why we can't have Gillett and McQueen. We need someone like a Dylan Napa or someone else with a bit more size.

Guerra is averaging 37 tackles a game this year to Cordners 31 and they are averaging the same hitups per metre almost, less then a metre in it to Boyds favour. Neither have scored this year.

Well for starters I think he's better then most Queensland back rowers, just not as good as he's nsw rivals
You can't really judge a players on stats alone. Corner seems to take a lot of 3rd or 4th tackle runs mainly on the edge running at halfbacks and centres (which is very good at by the way, and is an effective tactic for the roosters) Compare that to a player like bird, who may make less metres per game, but no blues forward over the last 5 years has made more early tackle count hit ups or hit ups with on 20m of he's own try line. He may make 31 tackles but what percentage are dominate, does he's tackle have sting and make the opposite number hesitant to run. Stats alone are a bad way to pick a player

I would not be picking Hoppa, especially on the wing, he has been poor under the high ball and is not in good form. Alex Johnson is good enough for the Kangaroos, but not in the top 2 wingers in NSW. If Dugan or Hopoate play on the wings. NSW will lose

Hoppa was original picked in 2011 because of the player he might become
He was picked last year despite not playing that well because he was expected to eventually find he's feet and become a dominant player.
he may be picked this year purely because was there last year.
After almost 2 years back he still hasn't reached the level he was at during he's time at manly, and he's far from the superstar we thought he'd become back in 2011, in my opinion blues should cut him lose and let him find he's feet in his own time

Agree. He only got picked last year on reputation and due to injury and hasn't played that great since his return but now he has this mythical 'incumbency' status.

I agree as well. Hoppa has lost a lot of speed and a lot of muscle. Poor under the high ball and defence . He Is not the same player and now he is married and settled down a bit, he might never get back to where he once was. Would be silly for selectors to have him and Dugan on the wings. You pick players in their correct positions and the wing is a specialist spot. One person who would be excited to see these 2 play there is Meninga

I wouldn't pick Hoppa but don't be suprised to see such superstars like him, Pearce, Tamou & Hodkinson picked because Daley is a blind f*ck
