Good to see Bluey have a win in the exhibition game in the states vs Souths, albeit an understrength Souths.
Look forward to seeing how he keeps the side motivated over the season. My gut feeling is a good one

In all seriousness, he has about as tough a gig as you can get, taking over a premiership winning side who has had a lot of success over the past 4-5 years. Pressure will be on him quickly if they fall down the ladder a bit

i generally have a couple going at the same time...so no dramas in that department...cheers for the concern but, much luv

just be realistic in regards to blu. hes got a damn smart league brain, but albeit smart, it is limited. others have probably seen the passion he gets from his players, this is how he gets around his limited tactical brain, that passion can only last so long.
the only thing that will help blu through his contract is a top coaching staff to help him out. he needs 'tobe' down there (tony benson), hes the opposite of blu, very very tactical and has games plans coming out of his arse
blu's laidback attitude could be a down fall too in the uptight english game...could be taken as not caring and not putting in enough effort.

Disagree on Tubby mate....when Bluey left him on his own..it all went pear shaped up the

went pear shape cause for the coasters with tobes there, cause the kiwi game is free flowing, do as you please...not ones to follow a game plan and if they do, its for the first 2 sets of six, then its gone back to doing whatever...he couldnt win with his approach.

i think blu would have had to of hardened up, it will put him out of his comfort zone...but he will realise this is what is needed to be and stay at the top.

It went pear shape because Bluey sucked all the $$ out of Hibiscus as well as taking most of the players. He wasn't shy to poach players from other clubs as well to make his teams and himself look good as well. That must be a trait that he inherited from his cohorts from Mt Albert. "Come play for Mt Albert and I'll get you a look in for the Warriors development, Lions...."

Bluey was all about himself and played the self pity card when he needed a way out to chase the $$. Let's just wait and see how he does it over there where nobody does anyone any favours.
