Wentworthville junior, been playing 5/8 in first grade for the Sharks BUT normally a back rower. Very good hard working player in the Morrison mould.

IMO would be a better value pickup then Morrison at this stage given the fact he is younger in years and does not have the injury problems. Cheaper price tage too.

I second that but still wouldn't mind Morrison if we can afford him due to his experience value. Having said that Gallen is a quality back rower & hits like a truck in defense.

Smithy may have a plan to bring back some young ex-eel talent to the club. Last year McKinnon & Grothe (and we chased J.Cayless pretty hard too), this year Chad Robinson & Paul Gallen? If Robinson & Gallen give us the same value that Grothe & McKinnon have it will be a sensational move.

Now just bring back PJ Smithy!........provided his necks OK ;-)

Sounds like a buy...apparently only Parra and Wests are after him so i'd say we are in the front running...Wests are gonna be screwed cos all their young players are going well and will want more money just like at Parra after 2001. Riddell is as good as signed so we're looking good. Rumours that Orford is very close to signing with either us or Melbourne also looks good!

Sorry guys but why would we want a player like gallen when we have the likes of Mateo, Hindmarsh,Wagon etc he will just burn up money in 1st div.

Well we are reportedly interested in signing him. The same could be asked about the signing Riddell, Morrison and any other player we are looking at. At least some of these players are proven in first grade. I think Mateo has a big upside but it is also likely he could turn into a Will Robinson as opposed to a Hindmarsh.
