Just thought Id mention 30 years ago today we lost a great rock an roll artist. Bon Scott, died on 19th February 1980 in London.

He may be gone, but the Ac/Dc songs he fronted will forever live on.

As a tribute last night, AC/DC performed the great hits Highway to Hell, Let There Be Rock, TNT, Whole Lotta Rosie, The Jack, Dirty Deeds.

One of my favourites Highway To Hell, Let there rock and Gone Shootin (which wasnt played last night). He really kicked off AC/DC's career in the mid 70s, I certainly dont think they wouldve been that successful if it wasnt for him.

Yet, their biggest selling album was Back In Black.... the second biggest selling album of all time and no Bon.

Two very different careers with two different singers but both have been successful. I prefer much of the old stuff with Bon at the helm but even with Brian Johnson fronting them they still remain one of the best live acts ever.

While I do like ACDC and Bon Scott.... I am completely and utterly sick of hearing their f**king music all day every day on Triple M this last week.

I actually listened to Kyle and Jackie O this morning because I was so over it.

Great Band, but even the best can't hold up to commercial radio abuse like that.

They actually put images of bon on the big screens during High Voltage, I thought it was a nice touch.

It's funny - I'm one of the few that prefers the Brian Johnson era. Early days, anyway.

Back in Black was one of the great albums and tracks like For Those About to Rock, Sink the Pink, Who Made Who, Thunderstruck, Meanstreak etc are superb.

bon was a one-in-a-billion front man.they were always going to cop grief no matter who they got to replace him.brian is a very credible replacement and does the old stuff well as well as creating his own style and sound.

i'm disappointed they dont do jailbreak but that is definately a bon song.i can live with it.

I dunno. My father has seen them from 1974 in a Taree pub right up until last night's pit and he still thinks they've got it. It didn't bother him I guess.

Horrible tribute to Bon during their concerts at the moment though. Got to do better than what they are, Jailbreak would be a good start.

WTF? His image is on screen during the entire chorus of High Voltage at every concert. How is that horrible?

Bon Scott was one and only. He helped launched AC/DC into mega stardom.

Having said that, in my opinion, Brian Johnson is criminally under-rated.

I'm trying to give the grill team a go since its a sports show, and will undoubtedly become markedly improved once the footy season starts and there is some actual sport to talk about.

The Kyle and Jackie O thing was a last resort since my aerial is busted and AM doesn't work.

proud to say I have never listened to kyle and jackie or nova ....haven't listened to MMM for about 20years.

JJJ for music...AM for sport.
