You are a shoe in - at least of making the prelim final after seeing how crap Manly are. Especially with Matai out (he has to go).

Dunno who you will face in the prelim final, but it seems only the Titans and Warriors have the balls to worry you. Maybe I discount Penruff. Anyway, there's your final 4. Just gotta work out who is playing who.

BTW, I'd prefer at Tigers premiership - but unless they play decent and stop relying on Ellis playing like Superman, and Farah taking the slack of Lui's inexperience and Marshall's laziness they are no hope. Neither are the Chooks: Brian Smith. Refer to the years 1996-2004

A Phil Rothfield-esque prediction there.

As for Dragons, they should without a doubt demolish Manly. I'm tipping one of the most one sided finals ever. Week 3 though it's anyones game.

My final 4 - Dragons Penrith Chooks Titans

lol, I admire your confidence, but I don't think anyone is getting that far ahead of themselves here.
Souths, while desperate and putting up a better fight than Brisbane did against Canberra, were not really in that and are not exactly a yardstick to gauge good form from.
Winning can be a great wallpaper to some other issues, although I think Saints in 2010 look more capable of taking the title than Saints in 2009 did.

We can be sure of only one thing, Manly are going to get anally raped next week.

The thing is, that the rest of the teams are more of a Jekyll and Hyde, you never know who will turn up in that game whereas with dragons, they are just so consistently strong. This is going to be an interesting finals series, even though parras not in it :( :(

And i agree with ^^ Ulyseuss above, Manly are going to get smashed.

Based on that ur saying all those sides will win in week 1 I tend you agree hope your right that means, Roosters will beat the warriors at the sfs in wk 2 and the titans will beat the tigers at skilled in the same wk, therefore wk 3 will be Panthers Titans and Dragons Roosters, hoping warriors can somehow role you guys in wk 2 though

Maybe that was more an indictment on the club than the coach.. Without him, what have they achieved?

Saints - 1992, 1993. '93 in particular should have been ours. We were rolled by a furious Brisbane side who were well primed by Bennett and had way more intensity.

We simply were not up for that engagement and I believe it was in many ways Smiths fault and Bennett's excellent preparation of his men.

So, no. I don't think it was an indictment of the club. It is his preparation. 2005 was as much Parramatta's competition to lose as it was Saints. The minor premiers rolled 29-0 in a Prelim Final with the squad they had? Pfft...

Dragons beat souths who couldnt tackle so im saying Dragons will not make the Grand Final even when they beat another woeful side in Manly this week.
Warriors Titans Tigers and Raiders are the only sides that can win it this year.
Dragons Panthers and Roosters are all pretenders

so because Souths can't tackle, Saints can't win it?

Manly were god awful yesterday. Less to do with Canterbury who weren't that great themselves.

It sucks because I really wanted to see Canberra and the Dragons go at it again.

If the Dragons somehow manage to lose to Manly they may as well not play the second week.

Saints, for once, seem to be finding their attack at the right time of the season. Tempting to start Fien ahead of Hornby next week... he played out of his skin.

The Dragons should thank Canterbury for helping them into the preliminary finals, I have no doubts at all they would of lost to Canberra. Manly whilst terrible and rattled by injuries still have a chance. It is up to there forwards same as any team against the Saints. They really can't handle being hit hard.

The raiders have never beaten the dragons in the finals, and the raiders look like they hit thier peak been up for 7 weeks.
