I know you're just being a f*ckwit and I'm not here to argue the whole 'bred vs bought' thing but

Idris - Chester Hill Hornets, Bankstown Sports, Berala Bears
Hickey - St Christophers
Morrin - Moorebank Rams
Nanai - Bankstown Bulls
Winitana - Milperra Colts, Berala Bears

I'm guessing your a Dragons fan. How about we ignore the massive Illawarra junior base and compare like with like (St George juniors vs Canterbury juniors). How many St George juniors are there in your team?

Don't listen to Rocco, he has his Bulldogs vendetta that he wanks over each day to get his heart started.

Although I must admit, ppl like him certainly are entertaining by focusing their life on the hate of a football club, poor sad little man.

Beau Scott came through the Dragons juniors (he played for Picton Magpies down near Wollongong), then went to Cronulla for 2 seasons as he didn't have an opportunity to play in our First Grade squad at a time when we had Cooper+Gasnier in the centres, and Timmins+Thompson+Young etc in the back row. He then came back to the Dragons once Timmins+Thompson had gone and there was a spot for him again.

Long story short, he is a Dragons junior.

You dont know your geography do you. Picton is closer to West's area then Wollongong.

Group 6 has also joined up with West's league in the senior grades.

Idris - Chester Hill Hornets, Bankstown Sports, Berala Bears - all those 3 juniors are in the parramatta junior also idris is from the NSW mid north coast*
Hickey - St Christophers - St. Christophers is in the St. George juniors
Morrin - Moorebank Rams - Moorebank is west
Nanai - Bankstown Bulls - Parramatta juniors
Winitana - Milperra Colts, Berala Bears - Milperra is west and berala is parramatta

And even if 5 of them are your local juniors, the rest are bought from other clubs and stolen from other juniors

You have made yourself look so stupid.

List of teams in CBDJRL

Bankstown Bulls
Bankstown Sports
Bass Hill Warriors

5 more juniors isn't much to brag about when you consider the massive size of the Illawarra catchment area. For a better comparison to Bulldogs juniors, how many of those players are St George juniors? Nightingale? Who else?

Edit to be fair Barba is a North QLD junior and Warburton is from Ulladullah (even though they both came to us at Flegg age).

It depends what you classify as a junior. I mean look at Ben Hunt, the dude was born and raised in Central Queensland but has been apart of the Broncos since the age of 13.

I suppose it should be stated whether they're local juniors or just club juniors.

Convenient that you bring out the St Merge thing whenever as an insult Timmah, but that somehow doesn't apply when we claim local juniors from Wollongong. Can't have it both ways. We merged. We are St George Illawarra. They are our juniors.

And how is it any different to Wests Tigers claiming players from both regions in their catchment? Its not. Don't let your hate of the Red V (St Georges jersey for 70 years, by the way, we still wear it in the same form today. Can Wests or Balmain fans claim the same?) get in the way of facts.

This isn't about hate for St George. I'm just pointing out the stupidity of the whole juniors argument. It's not like the catchment areas of clubs is anywhere near equal so making arguments based on number of juniors in a team is pointless.

Who gives a sh*t where a player learned to pass and run when he was 8 years old. Do you think a player will turn out much different if he played under 10s in Bankstown, Kogarah or Manly. They all learn the same basics but won't develop completely until they are aligned with an NRL club and get proper coaching.

The Bulldogs won both the Harold Matts (U16s) and SG Ball (U18s) competition last year. Yet if some of those kids go on to play first grade for us they won't be considered juniors because we recruited them from different parts of the country at a young age. All this despite our club being the most influential part of their football development.

Marshall was on the Gold Coast playing touch when Keebra Park High School said they'd trial him then brought him over fulltime on Scholarship. Keebra Park had (and still has) a strong link with the Wests Tigers, hence a lot of kids who graduate from there come to the Tigers. Plus, for the Bred/Bought arguement, we were the first club he played for after finishing school, so it's not as though we bought him.

"They"? "philosophy"?

Hmmm, my memory goes to it being a one-game slogan in Round 4 2008 when we played a Roosters side containing five Bulldogs. The point of the slogan was to sell t-shirts.

Additionally, it was coined by the previous administration... i.e. before Greenberg took the role as CEO

you cant deny that CAB fans would laud the club's ability to unearth talent. the club ran with sentiments of the supporters.

and if you read my prior post, i noted that it's pathetic that WOL supporters keep bringing the issue up!

CAB are simply making moves to win a premiership. nothing wrong with that. The reliance on juniors, and the beating of chests for adherence to the policy is antiquated. wont work in this era.
