Billy Dib was smashed last night by his South African opponent on the Mundine undercard.

But, low and behold he won on a unanimous decision.

It would seem that fights held in Australia are just as fixed as those in Germany or anywhere else.

Did anyone else see the fight? And were you as stunned at the decision?

I watched the highlights, this Billy guy looked way out of his depth

No idea how he won, he looked that bad in the highlights on Fox Sports News.

Watched the whole thing and it was a rolled gold rort.
Dib was bashed around with ease for 12 rounds by the South African. I dont claim to be an expert judge but waiting for the decision I was thinking that Dib could possibly only have won a handful of rounds and on top of that he would of been scored 10-8 against in one round for being knocked down and receiving a count.

Even the ringside commentators said at the start of the 12th round that Dib would need a knockout to win the fight.

A huge laugh and a groan went around the pub I was watching at when the result was announced. People know a rort when they see it.

Shows that the star power of having Shane Mosely in his corner swayed the scorecards of the 3 judges. One of the Thai judges gave it to Dib 116-112, you could maybe, maybe explain away a one or 2 point difference (which the other 2 cards were) but no way in hell did he win 9 of the 12 rounds (taking the 10-8 into consideration)

Yep horrible decision. The same with Kickett getting the decision over St Clair on the undercard of Feneh-Nelson. Both young prospects who shouldve lost their 0.

We are as corrupt as any country in the world. We have been that way for a long time.

I thought the Kickett decision was fine, it was the commentary that was off in that fight. With Dibb, I feel sorry for the guy. What a hollow way to achieve your dream. The entire country knows you lost, and convincingly at that.

Professional boxing should be like amateur with the scoring - have the scoring public so you can see when each judge puts on a point and doesn't.

you obviously have nfi which comes as no surprise

it's scored by points for winning rounds in pro boxing you dickwad

and the WBC do have open scoring in certain fights http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A16922928

you still get sh*t decisions though. Arce got a gift not long ago in a fight with open scoring

nope

you were saying it was like amateur boxing except the scoring wasn't shown

and it would be f**ked if it was like amateur. body shots don't count and the scoring system is stupid

No the judging was off. 98-92 x 2, which is utter bullsh*t. I had it 6-4 For St Claire. Id have no problem with a draw, possibly a close decision win for Kickett, but 8 rounds to 2? No thanks.
