Boyd vs Nightingale ?

Messages

Mate (who's apparently related to big Trent Merrin), told me that there was some argument between Boyd and Nightingale at training. I then found this in an article by Mr Danny Weidler

TOO FIERY FOR DRAGONS
OF THE many stories that keep coming my way about the Dragons and discontent, most seem to be baseless. But the suggestion that Darius Boyd and Jason Nightingale had some very strong words on the training field appear to be on the money. It seems trouble follows Boyd – the Broncos senior players were not miffed when he chose Newcastle over their club. For all of his immense talents, Boyd is difficult to handle. The Dragons will miss him on the field, not off it.

Whilst we are on the subject of Boyd......... It appears some people are of the opinion that hes not the same player since his signing with The Knights...interesting that last week on a footy show they said last year he had 21 try assists this year he has 5.....interesting stats.....

I've heard from the mouth of one particular Dragons player that Boyd and Gasnier had a few words to say to each other and now aren't on very good terms with one another.. apparently Boyd liked to stay at the Dragons and had Gasnier announced his retirement earlier Boyd would have remained...

Not sure whether to believe this or not, but as much as a good player Boyd is, and i'm forever grateful to his contribution to our success last year, however he's always struck me as somewhat arrogant.. And i really dislike his attitude as such.

We should rename this thread:

"I heard from the sister of my mate's workmate that a bus driver overheard a pizza delivery guy telling his friend that he saw Boyd fighting with another player's pet dog."

At least it was a fair fight, Wayne Bennett's dog vs the other player's dog

If this is true (a very big if) it means that Boyd wanted to stay but decided that money was more important to him.
Boyd somehow thinks that the club automatically would have found the extra cash for him because Gasnier's cash became free....

The interesting part of this is that it asks the question, have the Knights paid overs for him or will we under Price continue the recent attitude of us (which had been suggested was a Bennett thing) not paying big money for players (other than Gasnier) ...

Apparently there might be some truth to all the heat on Boyd, Apparently Mark Gasnier wont play on the same field as Boyd, And there is a dirty little rumor floating about regarding Boyd and some players partners in the team.

Personally i think its B.S but what makes it interesting is Gasnier has been named to play the last few games but has pulled out in the last minutes, if Gasnier doesnt play again there could be some truth to all the internal stuff happening at the dragons.

But this all could be crap and if Gasnier does line up it would be just another rumor

My mother plays Bridge with another woman whose neighbour's neice is a vet assistant. A friend of hers from college is having an affair with the wife of the guy who runs the veterinary surgery where the dog's owner buys his heartworm tablets and confirmed that the dog has been unwell lately.

so it must be true.
