Boyd signed a contract extension at the beginning of the year, then decided to initiate a clause allowing him to follow Bennett to the Kinghts. He was happy with the money when he signed the extension; and he decided to go with Bennett before Gaz announced he was retiring.

It has to be bullshit that he is dirty at Gaz and would have stayed had Gaz announced it earlier. Might be convenient, but it doesn't 'fit'.

BigNormProvan I definately don't disagree with you here but I must admit I have a soft spot for Mundine he was my favourite Saints player at the time and having met him in Carlingford Court at a cafe, not long after he left us. He was close to his first world title fight against Ottke. He was very pleasant and humble and when I wished him the best in boxing his reply was a handshake and "thanks cuz". I can see why people don't like him but he is still a decent human in my eyes in other regards.

Gordan Tallis had a chip on his shoulder against us when he left and always went out of his way to rubbish us whereas Mundine still holds the dragons in a high regard.
