Canberra utility Brad Drew will leave the National Rugby League club at the end of the season to take up a two-year deal with English club Huddersfield.

Drew, a City Origin representative this season, has been released from his contract to join the Super League club.

The 28-year-old joined the Raiders last season from Parramatta, playing 23 games as Canberra qualified for the finals.

He's played nine games this season but was recently granted permission to look for another club.
