Braith Anasta

Played ok for the Doggies. Got a wonderkid reputation that got him into the aussie squad. Signed by Easts to be the next Freddy but failed dismally. Played a couple of good games in '08 in response to being left out of the NSW team, then kicked a field goal in 2010.

Every coach he encountered saw that he should be lock/second row, yet he kept on having temper tantrums when he got moved there. Smithy tells him that he'll have to earn his next contract at the Roosters so he packs a sad and signs with the Tigpies and has done nothing all year.

How will history judge Braith?

History will say he was all hype and had talent but a terribly disappointing career due to his obsession with playing halves and octal sub par coaching, will be remembered as a "could've been but wasn't"

It will judge him as man who had the perfect opportunity to return home to the Rabbitohs from 2006, but opted to signs with the Chooks which was the beginning of the downward spiral of his career. If he signed with Souths, he'd still be there today, and look at them now!

The tigers should of moved Anasta and gave his money to benji. they finally have a good half back in Brooks and they let go benji who never had a halfback since prince 06. LOL next year it will be Asasta at 6 and brooks at 7. so much pressure on brooks next year

Coulda. Woulda. Shoulda.

Could of had an amazing career. Would of playing as a Lock. Should of ditched the idea of playing in the halves.

thought it was Chris Anderson.

Braith was a handy club player, never a rep standard player though.

Won a premiership in 2004 with arguably the best forward pack of the modern era in front of him.

The bulldogs hype the hell out of plenty of their players.
Remember Jamie Corcoran?
Braith was hyped more than he ever showed.
Good first grader...nice bloke...thats how history will remember.

Benji was already getting way more than he deserved, and besides not having a halfback is no excuse for getting run over by Scott Prince

Anasta was hyped, but a very good man. One of the games true gentlemen.

It was Fittler that put Anasta at fullback and it was Fittler that gave Anasta the captaincy over Fitzgibbon. In both cases BA pleaded for it not to happen.

The myth about his tantrums about playing in the backrow are completely fabricated by ignorant morons

Braith will be remembered for ...... um....... oh year.

  • George Piggin's nephew and Souffs saviour - until he f*cked off to Canterbury.
  • An early Warren/Gould on air fap when he scored a double chip and chase try in his early Dogs days,
  • Folkes preference for him over JT - and a decade of JT at the Cowboys, and a decade of Ben Roberts, Kris Keating et al at the Dogs
  • Being roadkill for KHarnt and Fa'olongo
  • Being responsible for a swag of Queensland origin wins
  • Playing his one good game against us in 2010 - as an origin dumping tanty
and bugger all else.
