Well Johns will always be over rated to the majority of rival supporters. I think Braith is a tad over rated but not nearly as over rated as that useless lot of hair they call Willie Mason. Braith didnt have a particular good year, was mediocre I suppose but wasn't as bad as people make out, and btw I have been very critical of him in the past. As for Mason, he's done as much as Anasta, if not less, has terrible ball handling, and is useless when his team is not smashing the opposition, despite this he makes the roos tour and the team, yet anasta who done just as much didnt even make the train on squad, whats the justice in that?

Yes, i agree he is very overreated and i've always thought this. The hype that was around him early in his career has still yet to diminish, and IMO he has done nothing at all special in his career. He seems to be given everything from a silver spoon, regarding his rep selections. Also, i don't see how people can say that he is only 21 and MIGHT improve to justify his form. No one knows how he will perform in future years, but it's certain that if he does something even remotely "skillful" the media will be praising him to the shithouse as usual

Do you know what? You guys have just proved to yourself that it's not Braith that you have your pickle with, it's the Media. It's not as if Braith stood up one day and said, "I will be the next Brad Fittler". Braith is just doing his job as a footballer, and like every other player that has EVER played the game has had highs and lows. So when he first went infront of the public eye he happened to be on his High, will it get higher or lower from here who knows. What we do know is he has some talent, the media saw that and they saw a good story and so on and so forth

i just hope for the dragons that barrett keeps injury free and doesnt bugger off to the roosters. Now that would be a tragedy. Im not a dragons fan, but if fat head gould kidnaps him it would be another injustice to the game

LJK is right. Anasta didn't ever claim to be the 'Next Big Thing'...it was the media. The same that gte excited if Joey takes 3 shits after lunchtime...

IMO, Anasta will improve greatly and be an extremely valuable member of whatever club side he is part of. He will mature into a senior role and be a useful leader in the future...but he still has a lot of growth.

I bet Anderson would love to have him in England now, even just to play him at centre.

I reckon Barrett's over-rated. Surrounded by good players (say, at rep level) and in good form, he can be wonderful but he only manages it a few games a year. Maybe I've been spoilt over the last twenty years by Lewis, Kenny, Daley and Fittler. Barrett's probably the best 5/8 in the NRL at the moment but he can't hold a candle to those guys overall.

geeze you people, give the guy a break. no he did not say he would be the next blah blah, some goose in the hierachy at the dogs said that b4 the guy even played a full game goose, talk about pressure being applied, im not a fan of the guy ,but im sure he will excell if allowed to play his natural game , unfortunantly most coaches dont coach that way , its their way or nothing a gfew examples Bsmith, anderson ,if you dont tow their line its bye bye, anyway anasta is probably too tired from all the indoor activities he,s been partaking in ;-) ;-) no wat i meeeeen
