I almost shat myself whilst browsing Zerotackle. It says here that Anasta is being paid $400k per year, as much as Farah. If true this is absolutely shocking, a player we don't even need for so much makes me want to spew. Heres the article. I'm not sure how valid it is, but still room for discussion either way.

He is getting $200k,from Anasta's mouth,he didn't want to go OS and Easts didn't want him,he is well paid from FOX so he signed cheap,good cheap signing IMHP

What is the likelihood of Siro in the centres? I am thinking that is where he will go when Tim brings in Anasta.

With the emergence of Sironen, I'd rather see Anasta at lock than five-eighth next season.

1. Tedesco
6. Sironen
7. Marshall
9. Farah
13. Anasta

Anasta gives us a great third kicking option. He is a very good defender and IMO would certainly offer alot more than Heighington in both attack and defense.

This also takes some pressure off Siro. There will be games where Benji is off the boil or not as dominant as he would like, Anasta being there gives us another ball player (if needed) and another general play kicker.

I actually really like the signing. We are going to have a very young team next year and he willbe a great help.

And if we are up by 2 in a semi final with 3 minutes to go he sure as hell won't run the ball from halfway on the last.

I can think of a few occasions where our last tackle options have brought us unstuck and that is the main reason I like Anasta in the team. He doesn't seem to panic like some (just think back to the field goal against us) and he just seems to make the right decisions (the majority of times). He is a big game player in that he'll lift when the pressure is on. My only gripe is he can be a sook at times....

I think lock is his position with us. He might not like it but he has to realise this is his last hurrah in NRL. He is a good defender and a very good hole runner (and can hold up a pass) so overall, for the cash, he isn't a bad buy for our team next year.

This is just like the Moltzen scenario, dragons fans were creaming their undies when they signed him, but have done nothing but bag him and INSIST that they never wanted him in the first place. Anasta has been a great player and leader at the Roosters but now that he is leaving he is suddenly no good and unwanted anyway.

Just like Moltzen I will be glad to have him at the Tigers.
