What Smith and even Radley have allegedly been accused of pales into insignificance to what Mam did in the 2024 offseason - People seem to forget that including these ambulance chaser so called "sports" journalists.

I saw Anasta call a few of them out on this on Fox - The usual suspects

When did these so called "sport" journalists suddenly become crime and police Investigation reporters?

Victor is a good fellow that made a mistake/error of judgement and all should remember he has not been charged with any offence.
You should email the club and ask that Victor is sent to the front line to do some inflicting/molesting for your cause.

So, I guess no zero tolerance, then.

Would love to see what the RLPA have to say about the "no pay" part. Surely it still has to count towards the salary cap...
As predicted, they're not happy.

So Uncle Nick says:
"“But while he has brought the club into disrepute, there is no proof that Victor snorted cocaine. He hasn’t been charged with anything."

Did he read the transcript of the text messages?
They are not from someone who was trying cocaine for the first time......
just sayin'

As true as all that is, I don't know they have the legal footing to tear up his contract.
He's not been charged with anything.
And as damning as those texts are, they still don't prove anything.

I would say Uncle Nick has had sound legal advice to tread carefully.

He’s available for the ashes, also

It's the ROOSTERS who are punishing him. Their decision, not something that was forced upon them.
It's punishment for a misdemeanour. No way on God's green earth should they get a concession, and it's a disgrace that the Cap Auditor is even considering it.
Makes you wonder if the Auditor is still Schubert. Morley driving a City Ford? Nothin' to see here.

Fair enough as if Victor is not being paid for basically 2 1/2 months that cap money can used on other players.

It doesn't mean that the Roosters will buy another player - the money could be used to top up some players wages for 2026.
Did Victor give you the drugs he (allegedly) didn't take?

Opens up a can of worms. Player arrives late to training? Suspend them for a week without pay. Gets in trouble off the field. Suspend them for a month without pay.

If the roosters terminated Radley's contract, they would be able to go out and spend that money on someone else wouldnt they?

So essentially they're just terminating a quarter of his contract... but the fact they can use that money elsewhere, then bring him back at the business end of the season opens up a lot of potential for manipulation.

Like 150k could be enough to sign a guy like Joey Manu for the final 3 months of the season at the June 30 deadline....

Also, other clubs can't really do it for their players without the players agreeing to not being paid... so its no surprise the RLPA are involved, it sets a very dangerous precendence. Like is Radley allowed to go and work somewhere else for 10 weeks to bring in an income? Pay his bills etc? If his contract was terminated he would.

Why dont the roosters just fine Radley 10 weeks worth of pay and deduct it across the season like the NRL does? Whats stopping Uncle Nick pulling some strings and getting Rads a third party deal to make up the losses, on the premise of not telling the whole story?

The whole this sounds fishy. And the questions everyone is asking dont seem to be getting answered. Was Victor planning to do it all by himself...? Sounds like the roosters are proceeding with caution, wouldnt want him going rougue and spilling the beans.

So instead of fining Radley, the Roosters are withholding his pay and may potentially benefit with cap relief for their good samaritan act. It's also the most tax advantageous the way the penalty has been structured for Radley who will also get a tax benefit from making his 30k donation. Looks like the Roosters got more tax than legal advise about this situation.

The threshold for a code of conduct has to be below a criminal charge otherwise it's pointless. (And a charged threshold doesn’t make sense as it's not a conviction. Hence the no fault stand fown)

Remember he's had multiple breaches before. And best case scenario here he's asked a team mate to break the law.

But from other reports it seems players and the front office asked to be more lenient. I wonder if the "charged" rhetoric from Uncle Nick is a way to save face.

How much did that alleged 8 ball that Victor allegedly ordered allegedly cost that he has to postpone his wedding given that Uncle Nick has docked him 150k so the other 600k (less tax) plus tax benefit from donating 30k to St Vincent's Hospital is not enough to hold a wedding? Surely Uncle Nick could have cut him a deal at the Easts Leagues bistro to hold the function given he is a club junior.

I hope any LU Roosters supporters who were invited to the wedding kept their receipts if the bought anything from the wedding registry so they can return it and get their money back.

I must stress that the above is all alleged and reported in the press and that Victor has not been charged with any crime.
