Has all this success (qualifying for the first time in a generation and beating the might of Japan) gone to Australia's head? Because according to a Foxsports poll, 57% of people believe Australia can beat Brazil.

We've beaten them before. Granted, they weren't World Cup fixtures, but we've shown we're capable of beating top flight teams such as France, Brazil, and England on our day. I see no reason why we can't win tonight.

I would urge caution. You have not played a top nation in a competitive fixture since 1974, so this is the unknown. I rate Oz and fancied them to do surprisingly well. I still believe they will do this, but if hope you appreciate what they have achieved so far.

I hope we get through to wherever it is we have to and get to play england - that'd be the best game

C'mon boys tonight, bed as soon as the f**king business assignments done and dusted

defensive lineup. i smell a 3-4-2-1 formation.

surprised to see no kewell in the starting lineup, although he'll surely come off the bench in the 2nd half if we have much of a hope.

How's New Zealand's cup campaign going thus far?

I heard some friendly results against powerhouses Estonia and Georgia...and an embarassment at the hands of Brazil. Don't kid yourself into thinking we'll even come close to losing to them as badly as you Sheep Rooters did.

I don't rate Sterjovski...i really don't. He may make good runs but the guy couldn't finish if his life depended on it. Personally I would have went Archie Thompson. Much quicker and able to finish.

I reckon you are spot on with the formation sunny and definitely defensive.

Ten to go now. What colour jersey are we wearing (assuming Brazil have a mortgage on the yellow)?
