Cronulla is clearly the golden child of the NRL that is for sure and if the NRL could, they would love nothing more than have the Sharks take over the whole area of Saints to the Gong. Soft draws to keep them in the 8 each year to make them a look like such a successful club to attract all the players. Losing 7 finals games and getting bumbled out of the 8 clearly last 3 years in straight sets shows how helpful the draw is to them. I feel the Cows lost that game last week more than anything as they only played 1 half of footy. The Cows were diabolical in the 1st half.
Yes, the Cows were to blame for their loss on last weekend due to their unforced error count, especially in the first half. The Sharks were lucky in the first half with the bounce of the ball going their way from the kicks by Trindall as well.

Yes, and in the NRLW the Sharks are sponsored by Quest. One of the Quest Hotels is owned by the NRL and is next door to Sharkies.
Seems like a conflict to me.

Really? I mean really?

Really?!?!?!?!?

Here I was all this time thinking our poor form was due to 3 idiotic coaching appointments in a row (Price, McGregor, Griffin) which led to a roster that was weakened year upon year upon year and a decade of continuous poor recruitment decisions which left us with a mentally weak losing culture and all of this was the fault of an inept board that continually doubled down on their monumentally stupid decisions.

Well now I just feel stupid. All this time I was blaming the wrong people! It's the media's fault of course!
There are numerous factors to our poor performance - between us we have documented two.
Plus i suspect certain media outlets undermined our coaches.

On the contrary - both McGregor and Griffin - McGregor in particular - were very heavily supported by their mates in the media. To this day they still trot out the BS stories that poor McGregor never had any say in recruitment and that it was never "his team".
If in fact the media HAD been undermining our coaches instead of constantly defending them - we all would have been cheering them on and we might have got change more quickly......

Anyway, back on track....in case it hasn't been said...this is all BS of the highest order.
* Volkman gets injured at Warriors with a one year recovery time,
* gives up two years of his contract at the Warriors (who release him) to...
* take up one year offer at the Dragons (during which he will be unable to play).

Something smells here and I can't see how the Warriors get out of this playing innocent / ignorant and how Volkman didn't know he was injured enough to not be up font about his condition.
Any medicals done by the Warriors following the injury would have been more detailed than the overall medical assessment done at the Dragons.

I suspect... he got a pay out from the Warriors (and freed up a roster spot) and thought he could get paid by the Dragons while he recovered and got his medicals paid for by the Dragons.

Dragons just guilty of trusting and being naive.
What's the point of signing someone for 1 year with a pre-existing injury ruling him out for 1 year!
Surely the NRL must understand that the Dragons would have been foolish to go along with this once they found out.
Why is the NRL so afraid to confront the Warriors with the obvious conclusions?

Yeah I get your pov. In fact much is clearly obvious And I also can’t understand how we end up as the bad guys in all this.

still, it seems we’re acted out of turn, we’re naive in trusting the warriors and/or Volkmar. In reality we should have conducted the medical before publicising and we should have not had him train until the medical was completed.

all that said, very strange that the only thing that gets picked up on by the nrl is the dragons actions
