Well from an outsiders pov, if Fitzy was not there last night it may have gone to plan and we would not be having this discussion.

It maybe that just one person is the problem but some one who attended may be able to shed more light on the matter, was he just there to disrupt of did he have some other agenda ?

Did he make peoples minds up for them ?

Would things have gone to plan if he was not there ?

Appreciate any feedback.

the fact that everyone would have known DF would be there to nit-pick I would of expected the CEO to be clear on the wording of the constitution changes and also sort confirmation from our lawyers.

The Chairman should have been able to reply that the whole process had been ratified by our lawyers.

While the Chairman is the spokesperson for these motions the full time paid staff should be the main input for drafting the meeting requirements.

As Moss was in attendance I specifically asked the question as to his membership status and was informed he was a long-standing member.

Ok cool , then it's settled what Sharpie needs to do is move one of the other nuffies aside and install Moss . Job done !

This is what we were saying most of the night. If this bloke is that good, surely someone can move on and allow him in.

Only problem is that Mr Moss is not a voting member meaning he currently has not held a Leagues Club membership for 3 years consecutive.

When he serves his 3 years, then bring him in.

The Chairman. CFO and Club Lawyer were out of their depth.

Fitzy absolutely gave it to those people and it was clear they hadn't done their homework.

I thought he'd been a member for a number of years. What like 1 or 2 lol.

Your right. He has been a member on and off and currently he has not had a membership for 3 consecutive years.

No one last night had anything to say about Mr Moss, it was how the board tried to sell the 8th director role.

Hard to say Twiz

What Dennis was actually saying was correct, if this passed there would of been a case made against the board cause it did not meet the regulations.

Even Chris Jurd mentioned the same thing and he is a lawyer and was the clubs lawyer many years ago.

Fitzy successful help campaign the current board into power so he wouldn't have an agenda so to speak I believe. He simply was pointing out the facts that these motions have not been actioned correctly in accordance to the Acts and laws and whatever there are in place and this could come back to bite them on the bum.

The motions were very vague, they didnt have enough details and Dennis helped members in clear and simple terms that we as the members should be made aware of exactly why these motions are up and what it means to put these motions in.

With all the people who got up to say something whether it was in regards to the financials, memberships, motions, etc It was a very poor reflection on the organisation.

I cant recall any members getting up on the microphone and actually supporting the motions. That is fact.

Our new board should be Simon Baker, Jon English, Chris Bath, Nathan Bracken, Vince Sorrenti and Danny Green.

I tend agree from what I've read, although I wasn't there

It appears Sharpy has the clubs interest at heart although he may be a bit rough around the edges and while its clear that Fitzy knows more about the technical aspects of the Eels constitution, he seems to have Fitsy's interest at heart.

Fitzy has had 25 years to bring himself up to speed, seems to me his agenda is to just disrupt these meetings.

We all hear about people getting up the chairmen and board at these meetings. Why does nobody ever call Fitzgerald or the other members on their disruptive bullshit?

There is no shortage of people getting up a lot of the speakers if what the speaker is saying doesn't agree with them. Last night DF got heckled a lot less than in previous AGM's where everytime he got up to speak he was told to sit down and shut up.

Hell, even I have been heckled from the floor when I have gone to the mike to say something.

don't you remember the infighting in the media?

Did boardroom leaks only start when Duncan joined the board?

Airing our dirty laundry is part of Parra's culture. That and pathetic men in shitty tracksuits.

Where else can the undeserving find themselves in power other than in the popularity contest known as democracy? At least Duncan has managed to find a decent job and stay there through performance.

It's sort of a bit funny how it doesn't take many voters to decide an outcome. Pretty easy to stack a meeting.
