Confirmed by Grant Mayer he is off to Parra... It's a real shame as he is a great prospect, but best of luck to him.

Will he be a genuine first grader?

Is he edge or middle back rower?

Is he a more attacking or defensive player?

Thx in advance.

Defensive player good motor but overall an undersized forward for first grade.
Not a player WT were going to break the bank for even with our lack of 2nd rowers. Wouldn't get too excited about the signing.

I actually disagree with TYGA, believe he could be very good, he plays lock and works his ass off in defense but he has really began to develop a nice attacking game, he's made a number of linebreaks this year in the 20's and has good pace for a forward, quite disappointed he will be leaving but I understand the eels offered him a top 25 spot so I can understand it.

Yeah, Santi is a good prospect. Any back rower his age whose defensive technique is as sound as his is always good. Its easy to teach him offence, he's a good learner.

Not too upset.

The Eels will have paid massive overs as they have failed to recruit anybody in the top tier of players and as such focused on cherry picking where they could from others mid level (Norman) and juniors (Santi)

Add in it is a great possibility he walks straight into their 17 in Round 1 and it is a tempting offer for a young fellow.

Personally for the Wests Tigers needs and what we have I would prefer to see the retention of Fiagatusa to convert into a lock forward and rotate with Sue over the next year or so. He handled the State Cup transition far better last year then Santi did this season.

He has potential to be a very good player but he is looking at Fultons slot and I don't think he can wait that long. A lot of back row talent in the SG Ball ranks this season

I rate Santi highly, disappointed to see him go. I thought he was close to best afield in the 20's Origin match. But I'm guessing the Eels would have paid overs for him and we couldn't match it.

Has a high motor and will tackle all day. Something your team actually needs, someone who actually tackles and gives his all

Not a first grade forward...
Far to small to be a forward and doesn't have the skill set to play in the backs if a positional move was on the cards..great defender though

Fiagatusa played well against the big Sharks' pack a few weeks back. On Santi, while busy, he wasn't as effective as Lovett in tackling. Lovett tackled ball and all on the big Sharks' forwards without help. He did this frequently when the Sharks had a roll on. Lovett also attracted a lot of the defence when running the ball. He is a tough nut, similar to a recent UK forward we had.

Lovett should've been partnering with Dwyer in the backrow.

God that would've been awesome :-(

Blair was signed by the old regime. Potter & Mayer don't seem like they would do anything that dumb. It feels good to be praising the coach and manager after the past few years.
