Take this with a grain of salt, BUT, Rebecca Wilson was on the radio saying that the Eels are set to put a massive offer to Tate on the table. Tate along with Riddell would equal 600K + easily, therefore surely Lyon must be released?

After Lyon wins the championship for Wee Waa, he will come back to Parra. After all the goal kicking practice he is having, he'll come back a better goal kicker than El Masri

Maybe, Parra should give Manly Lyon

that way the next time Parra meet Manly they might only beat them by 30

By being allowed to play for Wee Waa Lyon deregisters himself with an NRL club and hence he gets no payment on his NRL contract, nor will he count under the salary cap.
If the pork chop chooses to return to (reregister with) NRL again he's obliged to fulfill any pre-existing contract.

Why is that so hard to understand ?? (especially by Manly supporters).

I don't think rebecca wilson said anything about jamie - that was just another misguided dream from one of our good friends at manly....he put 2 and 2 togther and came up with 1.

While ever Lyon's contract prevents him from playing for any other NRL club than Parramatta I think you'll find he does still fall under the Eels salary cap.

It doesn't if we aren't paying him anything.....which we aren't.

So therefore, it doesn't.

Confirmed on 2GB by both Ray Hadley and Bob Fulton

Lyon's contract DEFINATLY WILL NOT COUNT AT ALL under the salary cap, unless of course he comes back to Parramatta.

lol..........why won't people just give up? Lyon will play for no one else except Wee Waa or Parra - that's it.

Manly can stick to buying dud players like Kite and Kennedy

Manly, just can't accept that since Arko left the ARL they are not getting any more favours from the NRL

Parramatta CANNOT prevent Lyons from making a living, and they will fail on trade practice grounds if they try to prevent him from playing.

Parra are just playing hardball so he cannot play THIS season.

Expect to see Lyon in the NRL next season, it may not be with Manly and it Definately wont be with Parramatta But he will be back in 05!
