he is a time bomb waiting to blow up and write him off.
he needs a rest, time to mend

no doubt one of the best centers going around.
but the strains of another few months playing without a break for next year will be too much.

just my opinion though

What? The guy missed half this year with injury, how the hell does he need time to mend?

Yeah I thought he sucked because he's a Bronco and all Broncos must suck because they came 3rd and got beaten by the premiers. Add Petero there, he did nothing either heck who cares he made more metres than any other player in the team or had the best all round forward game he must still suck since he's a Bronco.

And Lockyer...pfft Lockyer just sucks. Let's forget about how good he was last Tri Nations and the fact this is the first time he's played second fiddle in a long long time.

From the mind of every NSW fan to them.

not enough to recover

and if you have to wear a specailly made neck brace to play, you probably need to re-evulate your situation

he is a good player, but i think he is going top cuase himself a lot of injury

Do you even know a thing about Tate's situation?

i know what i've seen of him
that being suring the tigers/broncs game, during EVERY break in play berrigan was stretching his shoulder and back.
and the commentary team tonight said he will be wearing that brace for the rest of his playing carrer.
so i would assume, he is still carrying an injury

but tell me captain science, what is his condition?

He has a "longer than average" neck, that kept bending back when he got tackled, causing him nerve pain. This brace stops that from happening. Hence why he'll be wearing it the rest of his career.

When Tate's head flies back (probably because of his massive f**king jaw and the wind) it crushes the nerves in his neck, the brace stops it from flying back so far and he does himself no more harm. It looks bloody stupid though, and he wants to patent it aswell, what a joke. I hate him.

As for his game, as good as he was, HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO BE SELECTED ON THE FORM HE SHOWED IN 2005. A good game doesn't justify his selection, for it should never have happened in the first place.

I see you didn't watch any Broncos games from Round 26 on-wards.

You'd rate Ben Smith right as a defender, one of the best right? Tate broke him twice, I don't see a lot of players doing that.

Tate deserves his selection, tonight just proved it.

You just shot yourself in the foot for this argument with that statement.

I'll freely admit he was great from round 26, but that's 3 games. 3 GAMES MAKES UP FOR A SEASON OF MEDIOCRITY?!?!

That's bullsh*t Pete, take your bloody Broncos goggles off for a minute, please.

No no no, you can't select players if they're going to do a good job, and if they've performed at rep level before. It's got to be entirely about how they played that season. ;-)

I wasn't saying he was a bad player before hand, just that he was in-form which a lot of people are harping about.

Tate was going from solid to good and was improving until he got injured.

Then he came back from an injury many people thought had ended his career and played an important roles in many matches. Besides from that he has experience in test matches, besides from that he showed he had more combonation with Lockyer (which we didn't see tonight) which would help his cause into making the side.

Also who would you prefer?

I love how people play that card but they themselves are talking some sh*t because they hate the team or whatever in question

He went from quiet to still quiet, got injured and came good in round 26, and continued it for 3 games (now 4). That justifies leaving out Matt Cooper who has been superb all year?

Cooper deserved the spot. And Lockyer didn't deserve his, Barrett deserved the 6, and then Australia would have had his combination with the two centres.

Cooper and Gasnier have been the form centres all year, and Tate having 3 good games in a row cancels that out? What a load of sh*t.

We're not going to get anywhere by saying if he played well or not before he got injured.

Cooper deserved his spot I do agree however Tate got it and he proved to us why he did.

Put in Barratt over the Australian Captain? Yeah good luck mate. He was hard done by, however at the end of the day Lockyer deserves the spot on reputation alone. Again I will bring up Joey and this years origin.

Joey's the best of all time playing in a team of duds, he was ALWAYS going to bounce back in Origin, would you say the same of Lockyer?

You said it yourself, Lockyer deserves his spot on reputation, that's all he could claim it with. Horrible second half of the year, horrible finals series, and now horrible tri-nations. I disagree that he deserves it, but we all now how he got it. I bet he thinks Bob McCarthy is a great man with a great "reputation, not form" policy.

Lockyer being captain EXACT reason Bennett should be sacked (and don't tell me he didn't have the final say in it), Lockyer is not leadership material, he inspires me to yawn, I can only imagine what the Australian team do when they have to suffer through his "leadership" (term used loosely). He should not be captain, and he should not be playing. And as a Broncos fan, I'd think you'd want him to not tour aswell, an off-season could fix his problems. But I won't complain if he's willing to ruin his club campaign for a tri-nations tour.

Best of all time? A bit rich however I see what your saying. Could Lockyer? He seemed to do it in last years Tri Nations. Lockyer is a know Internation player, what about Barratt? When was the last time he played in an International level.

You see you seem to think NRL and International are the same level when they're not. Players that dominate in the NRL don't neccesarily have all that success in International level.

What would of you said if Aus won? Would you still be going on about this Anti-Broncos garbage?

Why can't you just admit Tate had a good game, he played well and was one of the best on the field tonight.
