Yes, that's why the vast majority of Broncos, Warriors, Cowboys and QLD fans are singing his praises, because they hated him and he sucked..

As a Warriors fan I can vouch for this, he was one of our best centres our clubs history.

Tate did run sideways a little and didn't find his winger much, but he brought more than enough to the table to make up for it.

Deserves to go out on his own terms, not like this.

Proves you know f**k all about football when he played for the broncos he would always and I mean always run sideways with great gusto he got the nickname the sideways man from pretty much every broncos supporter I know. He never deserved to Be in the australian sides and pretty bog average when he was. Oh he had his shining moments here and there and that is probably what all his nuthuggers are remembering but for me I will always remember him causing my old man no end of grief with his crabbing runs to the midfield and a refusal to take the line on unless there was a gap the size of the Grand Canyon sitting in front of him or if he had to chase a Lockyer kick.

Bog average will be forgotten in a years time if he retires.

I don't know if I ever really cared for Brent as a Bronco. Had his moments but once Hodgo came into his own it started becoming a hassle trying to fit both him and Hodgo in the same side. Always appreciated him more at representative level.
