Kafusi has an RPI of -2 meaning that across the board, he's below the average.

We'd be complete knuckleheads to make him a stuper-sized offerr.

Just because you play for the storm doesnt mean you are any good.

They play well as a team before anything else and thats Bellamy and his staff doing an extraordinary job.

I digress:-

A real mans player is someone like Mannering from the Warriors, he is just exceptional and fugging no-one knows about him. He owns all of our forwards.

Jesse Royal having an outstanding year (RPI +14), hes senstational and a serious offer should be made to him yesterday.

I agree with you on Kafusi. His fitness atm looks like it's at an all time low.

All the stats are there A.M.

We just need a few Neville Nobodys from struggling clubs who have a good record.

Its not impossible, look at the former bone-heads playing for Manly. They are all super-stars now.

As soon as someone mentions a "gary gold" who wants a $500,000 a season, these days, I get nervous.

Enter Sandow, whos more than re-paid his sign-on fee within a handful of matches.

Anyway, we have good recruitment people, I am sure they will lead us to Nirvana!

And weve got a lot of underdeveloped players biding their time for glory!

Dave,

Is there any way to get a rating on Kafusi for 2007 or even 2006?

He is way down on form this year, but I do believe there is potential there. He just hasn't been the same since injury.

I picked him up in my first fantasy football draft that a mate of mine runs. I think he was my last or second last pick, but I'm going to think long and hard as to whether or not I'll keep him next year. He's been very disappointing in 2008.

I'm not too worried if either the Eels or the Bunnies get him, but if either did I'd be hopeful that his best is still to come.

A rating could be finalised for 07 and 06, but that would take a bit of time.

Time I dont have right now anyway.

I started a Jesse Royal thread on the knights forum. Quite a few people joined in to sing his praises and the hard-core amongst them, well they cant understand why he hasnt been re-signed.

Of course players can have poor seasons for a lot of reasons.

We all know that Kiddy's had a really shocking year on the family front. Its been hell for him. Who is to say that hasnt screwed him up subconsciously.

Whilst i would like to see another top notch prop signed for next year i would be quite happy for the Club to let it ride, sign Verlinden and Luke Grant, rather than just sign someone for the sake of it.

If the second half of this season has proved anything, we have kids who are itching for the chance to step up to the next level.

I cannot think of a better way to groom a young prop than alongside Asotasi and Stuart.

I read some wraps for Verlinden a couple of weeks ago. What kind of prop is he? Worker or impact (to overly simplify it)?

I think Luke Stuart is starting to fill Yak's shoes nicely, although another worker might be desireable.

Kafusi isn't a Cusack-like worker, but he does play second row too. His fitness still seems poor since returning from injury.

Beside maybe Kafusi, who all is on the market?

According to http://people.aapt.net.au/darrylbradford/2009_mov.htm (which isn't a resource I overly trust) Jesse Royal from Newcastle is available as well as Aaron Cannings from Gold Coast. Then there's Michael Luck from the Warriors.

Royal is more like Manoukafoa (with a bit flashier offload) than the others, but is unproven himself. He definitely isn't the kind of player Brian Smith likes, so I doubt the Knights are trying to retain him. Richard Fa'aoso is listed too ... he's certainly big and strong and has a name not too different from Fa'alogo. :)

Aaron Cannings would complement Roy nicely. I'm surprised he's even available, but he went well at the Eels and has come on from there at the Titans.

Michael Luck is more of a backrower, I think, but he certainly is a tackling machine.

Bugger all fullback knocking around the joint, though. Sigh.

Jesse Royal would be a good buy - he was knights best prop this year. Easily.

Plays hard in attack and defense - nothing to flashy but a solid and honest player.

Not sure why he aint getting resigned? He is older and entered NRL at a late age perhaps they cant offer him anything decent.
