Brian Smith is a loser- Wagon at 5/8, no flair,consistency!!

He has shown to be a boring, structured coach who has no development nor improvement in any side he coaches-too technical and cold- and the bottom line is our results for 3 years now have been way under our potential!! Why? Has to be the coach- our side should be playing better for 3 years now and keep dissapointing-we are a better side,disregarding injuries, than we are showing!!!!

He has so many technical, structured ideas that he has lost the basic footy attitude for the players and they play with no love and happiness- its BORING- and furthermore, our team has a 5/8 that links our backline with no skill and our poor centres get no quality, skill ball from Wagon-how can they when he cannot pass,has absolutely no instinct nor flair for attack- so dour like our coach everything is a struggle!!

We are our a great club which does causen the odd upset, but we been going DOWNHILL FOR 3 YEARS- if the coach cannot improve us over this period and in fact i am being nice, we are going actually backwards- we need a new, fun, footy coach-not a schoolteacher- nor technical scientist!!!!

Its not Wagons fault he gets picked at 5/8 his dad Brian still thinks he can do a job for this season. Everytime I see the likes of Hopkins and Wagon in the team I feel physically sick.

Do you honestly think it would make a difference if Wagon moved from 5/8 or if the centres got quality ball (no offfense to Langi, but on 2 or 3 occassions last night he got the ball with a gap in front of him, and he was way too slow to capitalse).

What's wrong with Hopkins? I thought he and Petersen were our best. Wade played well too.

Everyone else was very ordinary.

And whatdo you suggest, BTW? Bringing Morris to 5/8 and Hopins or Webster to hooker?

If Morris is going to keep playing the way he did last night, I won't be upset to see him go.

And a note to the Cowoys coach - I hope you enjoyed the way you coached your boys to test the referee's patience in terms of hgh tackles. Hopkins' high tackles was exactly the same as the hit on Hindy, but because Hindy is not a pussy he didn't go down and we didn't get the penalty.

There were many high tackles identical to the Hopkins one which went unnoticed.

I'm sure if we had a good and fit 5/8, Wagon would be playing lock. However whether you like it or not, we don't so that's why he's playing 5/8. As for playing Morris there, until we get a replacement hooker, we can't - and most of you dont' like Webster so promoting him to replace Morris is not an option.

I know this is a far from ideal situation, but as the old saying goes, you need to piss with the dick that you've got.

Yeah, this is where people start pulling out crap like "lets play Burt at 5/8" or "how about Hopkins or McKinnon" etc.

This is where Hollingsworth or Irvine would of came in handy. Should of held onto one of them, We could of been birthing Morris at Five-Eighth now that this season is pretty much finished and throwing Irvine or Hollingsworth into hooker because alot of you don't like jimmy.

No matter what happens, the coach is a loser and we will continue in this miserable run if he does not go away and admit he has tried his very best and cannot bring anything else to the table!!

We have some excellent juniors and need a coach who our players like as well as respect -not a schoolteacher with no progression and variety-
-we are embarassing to watch-have been since 2001- where in the grand final we played like an unhappy rable!! embarassing!

And some here want to pretend we are looking good-they are right but the wooden spoon is ours !!

I love my teams history and past players but we are not the entertaining and winning and happy team we should be and again- i blame the coach!!!

ok........for the last 3-4 years we have always had a back-up hooker on the bench in 14, but at the moment we no longer have that.........so who do you think is playing hooker at the moment when Morris is off the field......Lee BLOODY Hopkins, like for the last part od the game against the cowboys after Morris was "hooked" for his terrible display, for a very recent example?????

i mean BS did actually pick Hopkins at 5/8 last year (what the???) so i'm sure starting hooker would be a walk in the park for him.....

Hopkins has played ok at dummy-half, so why not play him there and try and get something going in the halves with Morris and Witt if they are supposedly the option for next year??????

* "Half-spirited Roosters"? What does that mean? The Roosters had no excuse. Our defense was stronger, we scored 3 quick tries which put us on the front foot, defended like there was no tomorrow and even added two more. Face it - we completely outplayed them. Origin is not an excuse - Stuart was not forced to play Fittler, Minichiello, Wing and co.

Game First, my problem is that you always look at the negative. In this case you are right, this weekend's performance was an embarresment. However, after we beat the Roosters you disappeared from the forums for the rest of the week. You should have been in here congratulating the side, and conversing with us forum members about what a great win it was, and how good it made you feel.

The fact that you didn't do that tells me that you seem only content with pressing the negative. Now you're back in the forums after another loss bagging the side and the coach. It's like you enjoy booing the side when they lose, yet you never cheer when they win. That isn't supporting.

Fair point, but i cannot now get excited when i feel the next week we dish up something like this -not the first time that we do okay one week and let down badly and furthermore spoil our good work and also confirm we fluke games when win instead of showing we are good!

I still watch every heartbreaking minute of them play with positive hope- but they shao and give me nothing over 3 years- i will always follow them closely but i do not like the coach and the way we are not a happy, goo footy side as we should be- we come up with excuses not reasons- like the ref or injuries and when a pressure game comes we let down again and again!

Anyway, i will always support the club no matter what but the last 3 years has shown downhill spiral instead of consistency and improvement!
