Bridezillas

For those whom are not familiar with the term, a bridezilla is a bride-to-be who is over obsessed with the planning of a wedding.

On pay-tv, there was a show called "Bridezillas" which showed some pretty awful behaviour by the bride. At times, I felt some of them may have hammed it up for the camera, but on the basis of a few people I know...the show is not too far away from reality.

A guy in a sport team Im in is a truly nice guy. Unfortunately, his missus is not so nice. The couple I know are deadset struggling for a buck....yet, she is absolutely obsessed with planning this wedding which is of a fairly grand scale....more than what I'd pay for. The wedding has put a noticeable strain on him and the relationship. It is way more than they can afford.

The problem is...she is far more concerned about the WEDDING than she is about the MARRIAGE. Unfortunately, she is not the only person I have met that is like that. Have you had an encounter with a Bridezilla?

Tell him to have a good long talk to her about how this will impact their future. If it goes in one ear and out the other, she's simply not listening, which means that she won't listen to him when they're married and it's destined to fail. If that is the case he should tell her now he won't marry her unless she takes their finances seriously.

Good luck with that one... If she's already planning the wedding of her dreams, no talk about financial limitations is going to end well. Having seen a few couples like this, I'd say the nice guy is too nice and in love to have the balls to have that chat and face the consequences.

A girl/woman at my work had a $50K wedding - crazy shit, when you can put that toward your mortgage. My wedding cost about $5K tops, and there was still money left over on the bar tab.

Lol @ weddings.

Just use a club, whomp 'em on the head, and drag 'em back to your cave. Served me well.

But I'm a romantic like that.

Of course it won't end well BM - the truth hurts. Sad but true!
