This way we would have a proper objective mechanism to select the NSW SOO team less likely to be held hostage to the low IQ of Fittler. Make it so that the Origin team can only be selected from CC participants unless everyone in a particular position is injured or suspended.

It used to be used as a functional trial for the NSW team. Just as Origin was used as a big part of selecting the Australian team.

Then NSW chose teams regardless of City-Country performance, and way too many who play Origin don't align themselves to play for Australia.

I loved City-Country growing up, but I feel it's a thing of the past. Probably unlikely to return.

When the problems lie at so many levels simultaneously, reinstating this is just sifting the shit. Turbo will never again play like 2021. QLD are building toward a better team than this year. Ponga and Reece Walsh together will be unstoppable.

NSW should just get on the piss and show up for the money.

They should play the cityvcountry game during the Easter show at the show ground for free. Think it would be a great turn out.
