Stays our of the media > "he does nothing!!!"
Does interviews > "just a media whore"

Wasn't that long ago he was being criticised for micro-managing after sacking Gallop & the telegraph were trying to convince people he wanted to be the new CEO.

There is already a Brisbane team and it just so happens that it is the peoples team. Which means that everyone that lives in Brisbane just absolutely loves the Broncos. So thanks, but no thanks to a 2nd team.

It's at 6:20 in that video. Interesting his comments about the state cup servicing areas that might not be able to get an NRL team, almost sounding like an NRL 2nd division of sort? Will be hard to really engage with a local state cup side until they stop being feeder teams for NRL clubs and a reserve grade for NRL comes back and the state cup teams are entities in their own right. It is a very uneven playing field where some state cup teams are stacked with NRL players and some have none.

Yeah when they get rid of the NRL U20's the NSW/QLD Cups will basically be a 28 team second division spread across two conferences (and covering 4 nations, not bad...).

Not sure what you mean by the second half though? The affiliation system in QLD seems to be working well.

Clearly you have missed something, I was responding to the comment before my own which I took as a comment on Grants allegiances & expansion motivations.

Calm down..

I'm certainly calm, thanks for your concern though.

That's why you responded lol, for 20 years Sydney has been whinging about how the Broncos have an unfair advantage & the moment Grant says SE Qld is under-leveraged and is probably favourite for a new license you lot whinge that he is biased to Qld. Make up your minds!, when someone questions if he lives on the border of 2 Brisbane suburbs, oooook then.

It's ok to admit you got a bit worked up over absolutely nothing, & reacted like a 10 year old kid as per usual.

The advantages of having another NRL team in Qld are many, but the two that stand out for me is that it will kill fumbleball in Qld for good and the club will be viable.
I would still favor a club in Perth and another NZ team in Wellington

Put down the weapon and walk toward us slowly.

Gee, imagine a 2nd Brisbane team being the front runner for any future expansion?

I am shocked - is there any risk or downside?

Meanwhile yawnion are expanding to super 18's next year with Japan and Argentina entering teams. We can't even expand to Perth.

Brisbane 2, Perth in.

Wests Tigers out, NZ2 in.

Get Adelaide going. Move a Sydney team to CC.

There's ya 10 year expansion plan.

PNG would be up there too. They wouldn't care if they came first or last.

sounds good to me! i think the nz2 side should be in christchurch though. that way there is a team on both the north and south island. png would be awesome because they are so fanatical about the game up there. would they be financial???

I fail to see the fascination of a 2nd Brisbane team.
We already had 2 Brisbane teams back in 1995 with the South Qld Crushers that failed miserably and were financially unsustainable and competitively unsuccessful.
The Gold Coast are roughly 80ks up the road and are failing in their 4th or 5th ?? attempt.
A 2nd team in Brisbane won't take the game anywhere new it would just slightly weaken the Bronco's.
Am I missing something ? other than the NRL's obsession of playing more than once every 2 weeks at Suncorp for $$$ & ratings until the bubble bursts.
