The Dave Taylor try from a Parker grubber. Thoughts? Was it a fair try?

IMO no. Push in the back, Cameron Phelps was impeded by Nick Emmet whilst going for the ball. Emmet made a decision to take Phelps out of the play which is illegal and it should have been a penalty.

Plus, "benefit of the doubt". How the f**k can you get BOTD?!? He either did push him, or he didnt ffs.

The experts:

Phil Gould - Try
Matthew Johns - No Try
Ray Warren - No Try
Andrew Voss - No Try
Ben Ikin - Try

Both were going for the ball. Emmett's eyes were on the ball. If Phelps wasn't there Emmett's actions would have been exactly the same.

Try, but definately not benefit of the doubt. I think video refs have been using that alot lately to lessen some of the blame on themselves.

Dont worry about Ben Ikin's opinion. The guy is the most biased of commentators around.

No difference in the try El Masri scored vs the Dragons when there was a push in the back.

I think they were both no tries, the opportunity for the defender to have a fair play at the ball was denied on both occasions. Would not want to see a decision like that decide a GF.
