The boys come out to play last night and we were the far superior team despite the tight scoreline. 3 of their 4 tries were from kicks with one being the brain fart and i am far from convinced oates scored and latrell didn't. Once again we showed metal when things didn't go our way

3 keary
2 latrell (that fend!)
1 guerra

We haven't been at our best but we now have a home prelim. Fire up!

That's the craziest and perhaps the most nerve-racking game I've ever seen.

I just couldn't believe how we kept blowing tries and also kept giving away 7 tackle sets to let them back in the game.

The clincher was the great one Boyd Cordner falling over with the line and a 14pt lead in sight!

What should have been a 20pt win almost became the most devastating loss.

But... it wasn't. I'm not saying this to criticise the boys; more to point out how close I came to a heart attack.

Despite our fumbles and brainfarts we had some huge performers out there.

3. Keary. Best 5/8 in the game? Hard to argue at the moment.
2. Latrell. A moment of genius to win the game.
1. Guerra. His best game in 3 years.

Cordner, Liu and Napa were also fantastic. That was Dylan's best game all season so the week off proved beneficial.

3 points: Luke Keary. Scintillating in attack.
2 points: Boyd Cordner. All round great game.
1 point: Latrell Mitchell. For, as someone on another part of this board put it, "launching James Roberts at North Korea". The fend was priceless.

Honourable mentions - Isaac Lui, Aidan Guerra, Jared Warea Hargreaves.

3. Keary. I'd give all 6 points to him if I could. Outstanding he was.
2. Guerra
1. Mitchell

Also thought Matterson was good in containing James Roberts all night.

Can't believe how close we came to losing that game. The better team won in the end.
I reckon I need the week off more than the boys do.

When that ball rolled into the ingoal at the end with Jimmy Roberts chasing it I almost f**king died.

I just screamed "No! No! No!!!" like a Banshee.

I haven't felt that nervous since the Thurston no try in that ridiculous Cowboys Elim Final in 2014 where we nearly blew a 30pt lead.

If I used a swear jar last night there'd almost be enough money in it for an overseas holiday. Even invented a few new words along the way.

Haha Oh man, I thought we were trying to lose.

When Cordner literally fell over like a baby with the tryline and a 14pt lead in sight I just sat there like a stunned mullet shaking my head all the way through to the Hunt try and the Fergo brainfart.

It was a nightmare unfolding before our very eyes.

Thank the heavens for Latrell Mitchell.

But even then the Broncos almost scored about 5 times in the last 4 mins which I didn't even think was mathematically possible.

Clinically speaking it wouldn't be an exaggeration to suggest that I was temporarily suffering from PTSD come full time.

quite a liberal use of the 'c' word came out from my mouth last night and the elderly lady next to me was just as bad. I love league fans

Not sure what came over us, but when Fergo had his moment my brother and I started laughing semi hysterically. Call it temporary insanity.

3 - Keary
2 - Cordner
1 - Lattrell

Massive wrap also to Liu and Guerra (best game in two years).

Will it be Friday/ Saturday or Saturday/ Sunday for the finals?

The Grand Final qualifying finals will most likely, like in previous years, be played on the Friday and Saturday nights. The NRL usually like to give both teams at least 7 days turn around time between the finals game an the GF.

Thanks, yes it is up on the NRL site now, Roosters at Allianz on Saturday night and the Storm Friday night down in Melbourne. Just glad it wasn't a Sunday as I'm working during the day.
