Which of the two Queensland teams will finish higher on the ladder next year? I say Cowboys.

I certainly hope so. They've got the talent to do it, only time will tell.

I agree, but don't be surprised if they both miss the 8.

Even as poorly as the Broncos are performing, I really cannot see them missing the top 8 anytime in the near future. I reckon they'll both make it no sweat 8)

Well, they might be as of Friday!

For the future, the Cowpats certainly have the better younger players. Wouldn't surprise me to see the prophecy come true!

rrrrrrrrrrright

Thats why the Broncos feeder club Toowoomba finished ahead of the Young Guns side despite Toowoomba, Broncos Colts and the Broncos having a combined 20+ injuried players sitting on the sidelines at one stage. Good call ( Insert sarcastic tone here ), do you even follow the Qld cup at all?

yep - Clysdales finished the season on 23 points, Young Guns on 22 - doesn't look like there was much difference between them.

plus you'll find the Young Guns would of had just as much disruption over the season as the Clydesdales

and guess which team out of Toowoomba and the Young Guns finished the Season with the second best defensive record in the Qld Cup ;-)

intresting note: None of the Qld Cup teams that were feader teams for NRL clubs made the finals this year.

I wonder if Misty Bee was referring to the 'younger players' who are currently playing for the Broncos / Cowboys?

How do they compare Kiwi?

lol... "stolen" from up north. Yes - our extremist cult leaders bring them here at gunpoint. Get. A. Life.

The Broncos are in a big hole but lets get realistic. Theres a chance that they could lose 7 straight matches and still make the finals. Even with a terrible set of halves and a dozen or so players playing origin they were in the top 4 after round 19 and had been in the top spot a couple of times during the season.
They won't miss the finals next year but I don't see them being title contenders either and thats all that matters. 2nd is as good as last in my opinion. Any team who thinks otherwise will always just be making up the numbers.

Ipswich formerly fed the Raiders and now feed the Bunnies.

 they should've sent the Ipswich side into all the bunnies games this year. IMO they might have done just as good a job :p jj

I guess the Raiders will be just making up the numbers then. Wasn't their goal at the beginning of the season just to finish in the top 6?

And they've backed themselves to win this comp since about round 7, I don't think they'd be where they are now if they'd kept that top 6 goal right the way through the season.

you know, it is possible that next year all 5 non-NSW based teams could make the top 8 8)

hey - there's a realy good argument against going back to a Top 5 -

there would always be a possibility that no NSW teams would make the finals [-o<

I was referring to the players already at the Cowpats/Broncos. Towoomba have recently been very strong since their link with the broncos. Hasn't helped the broncos much though.
