Broncos gone

Denver are gone for the year with a massive hiding at the hands of Kansas City and they now slip into a tie with the Buffalo Bills whilst the Jets all but secure themselves a playoff spot.

So we now have Pittsburgh, New England, San Diego and Indy as division winners whilst the Jets take the first wild card spot and Baltimore stay ahead of the Broncos.

Pathetic season in the end and Plummer has shown he is not the one to lead the Broncos back to the promised Land and Shanahan has not won a playoff game since Superbowl XXXIII against Atlanta six years ago.

Time for a change in Denver. They need to trade up in the draft and get themselves a young QB who they can mould into a winner.

Tough luck Legend... the Broncos have been really disappointing since their good start...

I agree that it could be time for Shanahan to move on..

I'm still holding out some hope for the Bills...Hopefully Baltimore and Jacksonville can lose today...

Neither game is a certainty and the Bills probably have a better chance of getting into the playoffs instead of Denver.

Shanahan seems to stubborn and arrogant to admit he made a mistake with Plummer, who has turned into the old Cardinals Plummer in the last month. Terrible stats and is about even with td's and int's over the course of the season which is a disgrace.

Philly look to be on a collision course with an early exit from the playoffs with unimpressive wins over the Skins and Cowboys in the past two weeks. The ghost of playoffs past looks to be making another appearance this holiday season.

Even though Philly has struggled a bit of late, the rest of the NFC is so weak, I would be really surprised if they didn't make it this year.

I'm predicting they won't be much chop in the SB however, regardless of which AFC team they play...

Here's a scary thought, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Arizona Cardinals can still win the division.
Their last two games are very winnable - Seattle and Tampa
Rams won't win another game - Philadelphia and Jets
Seattle have - Arizona a follwed by the Falcons.

Arizona beat Seattle earlier in the year, so another win next week and I think they win the division with a 7-9 record

The Cardinals have a chance... who would have though it??

The Falcons will be resting their big names though for the final game, so I would say that Seattle should beat them in the last game....

f**k you Green Bay..... Jacksonville look like they have won, and with two easy games left are looking good for the last AFC wild card... :x

Strange season. Green Bay can finish 8-8 and make the playoffs and teams like Denver could finish 10-6 and miss out altogether, although highly unlikely based on today's "effort".

interesting side note to the arizona thing.... if they had actually pulled their fingers out and not lost TWICE to the worst team in the NFL, the 49ers they would have a stranglehold over the piss weak nfc west

the fact that they are still in it even after that is quite a worry

With TO getting hurt I'm getting worried about the eagles :(

I put the games against the skins and cowboys down to the boys thinking about the play offs rather then the game at hand.

I dont think its plummers fault, when on the opening kickoff we cannot keep bloody dante hall outta the endzone.. either is it his fault that our coach seems determind to not run the ball..

In his last four games, Plummer has thrown something like eight int's and two touchdowns and for the whole season, he has thrown just as many int's as td's and that is unacceptable. There is only so much the coach can do and he's not the one throwing the ball.

I now wish I posted this before the Dolphins win.
I'd like to see Feeley go into next season as the no. 1 QB, take most snaps in Training camp etc. So Miami could be a great team to trade up with.
In short Miami needs draft picks, So Denver trades up for our first round draft pick which should be 3rd or 4th, we get the broncos no. 1 draft pick, most likely 16th or 17th, plus your no. 2 pick.
With those picks we should be able to grab a decent a decent O-lineman with the first and a decent RB with the 2nd.

AJ is a solid QB. I know the Eagles didnt want to let him go but he was never going to get anywhere with The Don in front of him. If he is let go then Miami will have learnt nothing from this year.

Cupid, how you feeling about the Eagles chances with Owens gone for the year? None of the top sides seem to be firing on all cylinders at the moment which paves the way for a team like San Diego to make a raid during the playoffs.

I'm still reasonably confident. It's more than a major hic-cup but I think Westbrook can take about 60% of the heat AS LONG AS Levens can extablish a ground game. The bigger worry for me is our D getting banged up each week, thats going to be a MAJOR problem.

We will never cover Owens being missing, the question is can we just stem the flow. I wrote this elsewhere but I honestly think he will be rested for the remainder of the regular season & then needled up & used sparingly up until the SB... if they get there.
