Really well earned W last night. It was good to see Cook and Gutho take it upon themselves abit when we lost our way. Kyle can't be our 6 or 7 going forward that was quite obvious last night. Liddle is an absolute must to resign but I am hearing he has already signed a deal with another club and it might be in the cooling off period. I'll give Flanno some credit the boys did fight hard in the 2nd half, but geez the Broncos are terrible. First coach sacked will be Madge followed by Obrien and Dessie so Flanno will be safe this year. Give him the benefit of the doubt and if we sneak in the finals and start next year stronger he will deserve an extension but in my opinion it's abit to early to judge based on how bad the opposition was last night. Maybe our run starts here? It will be a tough one but who knows what team will show up against the Knights.
The Broncos played like a Rolls Royce with 3 flat tyres. Reynolds usually has a picnic against us but he was pretty quiet, Cobbo has lost his confidence, the forwards seem to be down a level and Mam must be sick of scoring and setting up multiple tries and still losing.

They won't sack Madge in year 1.

fmd what a ride.

I was reading a book by the Dalai Lama, and he said "Even if some anxiety occurs, as it is bound to in life, you should always be calm. Like a wave, which rises from the water and dissolves back into the water, these disturbances are very short, so they should not affect your basic mental attitude" Clearly old Dalai L isn't a Dragons fan.

If you’re familiar with The Smiths then you might even say that the Dragons are like that famous song - “enough to make a shy bald Buddhist reflect and plan a mass murder”…. The Dragons are certainly a case of Stop me if you think that you've heard this one before…….

As always Referee Sutton makes a massive error call with the forward pass call he should have seen he was right there!!
And the imposter referee ponytail Badger was in exact line with the 2 metre forward pass call.
How did they both miss this forward pass?

The games are orchestrated by the referees, hear me out...
Referee Sutton and the ponytail Badger miss the blatant forward pass in the first half.
Then the second half every 50-50 calls and rub of the green goes the Dragons way.
Don't you find it interesting that a referee can square up the dodge calls ledger as he chooses.
The referee can orchestrate the outcome of the game.
I'm not complaining about the square ups... but the games are not played on merit.
The gambling companies have taking over the games.
You had me until the last line.

The tv didn’t even bother to replay the tackle that decided the match. They barely even mentioned Sloans wonderful try which they failed to call live, more concerned about arguing he wasn’t tackled in the air.
Sloan's brain farts in the past have a lot to do with his confidence and the embarrassment of being rattled..and of course concentration.
But when he does something good it's usually something special.
He deserved to get a lot of applause for some of his efforts against the show ponies.

I bet there are a few St George supporters out there who are feeling sorry for the Broncos, poor things.
With all those marquee players and losing several games on the trot.
Am I right in presuming your shedding a tear or two right now? :)

I thought we hung in there well especially in the first half because the ponies looked to have the upper hand. The second half was another game as our attack looked sharper and defensive reads seemed way above recent efforts. Our depth is good no superstars but all about same level. Their first try was blatantly forward and their last try looked forward to me as well.
Im really getting sick of Kyle though there must be a better option.

I said earlier in the week I wasn’t watching the Dragons play for a while after last week. Then not long before kickoff yesterday my son just rocks up at the front door and says let’s watch the footy. Now I’ve just got home the day before from a week away and courtesy of a bad service station sandwich I’ve been throwing up with food poisoning all night and was planning on spending all day in bed. I’m not in the mood for him or the Dragons. So I throw the TV remote at him and give up and watch. How many times during the game did I say to my son - see - this is why I didn’t want to watch these guys?!?!
Then mid way through the second half, there are glimmers of hope. Then 10 points up. 4 minutes to go. I know my Dragons though. I get up and walk down the hallway and say , so I’ll tell you what happens next. Broncos short kick off, they regather the ball and score. Of course that happens. And then the Dragons hang on by their fingernails for the next few minutes. Bloody hell. This team.
Funny thing mate I said exactly the same thing ........ Can read them like a book ...... So what does it come down to , because it's been happening for years now ? Is it a culture thing thats hard to eradicate ........ ?

What a tough win Yesterday. 🏆 The boys would have rightly fealt genuinely gutted had they have lost. Of all the highlights, De Belin's smothering tackle on Reynolds with seconds to go was a joy to behold. The stunned look on Reynolds face from dropping the ball was priceless. I was waiting for and half expected Reynolds to do something magical and win it for the Broncos. I was waiting for it. Not a pretty win, but a tough one. Special mention to Gutho. What a game. I now see why Parra faithful hold him in high regard.

Any more for us on this? What club? If true - we'll need a half in 26 (assuming KF to 14 and DA to 6)
It's just a rumour I've seen posted a few times over social media. Kyle is contracted until the end of 2027 and will be in the 17 somewhere as long as Flanno is our coach. We still need a proper HB they all play like 5/8s so I would have a crack at Sexton there isn't much else on the market. Fogarty would've been great
