You have to laugh, I will pay that
Darren Lockyer WILL turn around his goalkicking form this season, he has been quoted as saying he is committed to rectifying it, I will not doubt the games premiere player when he puts his mind to something.

Complacency may be our biggest problem facing a Canterbury team decimated by injuries in the forwards. On paper, no this is not where games are won, the Broncos should win this game.
A key matchup will be the battle of the five-eights (perhaps a curtain raiser for Origin 1 if Anasta plays well here) with Lockyer our playmaker and gamebreaker up against the reborn Braith Anasta who has been nothing short of sensational this year IMO in a team struggling.
As a Brisbane fan, I have never been one to be all that confident playing the Bulldogs. Since 98', we have won 8 from 15 games drawing another, though the games are always a tough encounter, this game will be no different.
Whilst the Doggies forwards are nothing on what they can be when there is a full compliment on hand (Mason, Williams, O'Meley etc.), IF the young guys rise to the challenge of taking on Webcke, Petero, Thorn etc the backline is definately good enough to get a win this afternoon.
Another key battle in the backline will be Tonga v Berrigan, incumbent Test centres and likley partners for Origin 1.
I tipped Brisbane, I always do, winning 32-18.
I have Shaun Berrigan as the first try scorer.
snippet from Broncos media release said:Bennett also confirmed Darren Lockyers ambition to rectify his poor 2005 goal-kicking percentage of 53% and subsequently fill the Broncos sharpshooter void left by 2005 Huddersfield winger Michael Devere.
Hes a perfectionist, he doesnt like failure, Bennett said of his captain five-eighth, who is last on the goal-kicking percentage column after landing only 25 goals from 47 attempts.
Hes been given plenty of opportunities to take the responsibility away from himself but he doesnt want to do that.
Bennett commented on his possible decision as coach to hand the kicking-tee over to the clubs second-string kicker Corey Parker if he felt Lockyers form was a threat to the teams success.
If its got to be made Ill make it, but hell make it before me, he said.
He doesnt want the team to fail either so hes not going to do things that would jeopardise the team, hes a wonderful team player and always has been.
