I thought the players were tired that's why we have no kangaroo matches in October? The rlpa need an investigation lol.

I wonder how many of these players are the ones the ARL decided we're too tired for an end of season representative match?

Edit: just realised the same thing was posted above.

I holidayed there a few months ago, and was thinking it would be there perfect place to target the U.S.

Cheap flights with jetstar, great holiday destination for fans, much closer than mainland.

Good move

Plus the fm fact that half the population are Polynesians so will likely relate to the Poly players in the NRL more that most people on the mainland US would.

Great idea. Lets hope for the sake of the game it actually does go ahead.

"The last time a rugby league game was played in the US was State of Origin in Los Angeles, 1987"

I laughed when I saw this quote. Typical ignorant rubbish.

does the stadium have a big enough pitch to fit a full size RL field on, gridiron fields are a lot smaller and would be a shame to play on a narrow field, teams will struggle to break the line.

I remember the Liberty Bell Cup.

The USA shocked the world and had the aussies on the backburner at 20-0 at halftime or thereabout.
Then some Matty Bowen magic brought them back into the game.

It nearly fell apart when one of the USA players dropped an intercept pass that would have taken the USA back in front.

The Australians were shown that day.

Yeah but it is sorta like playing in New Caledonia and calling it France..
Great to see it in LA or New York but yes Hawaii does have the Polynesian appeal

Need to quickly change the name to TopBall though, otherwise they will think it's just another game of Rugby
