Brooks and Moses

Ok, i just saw some upstart nrl rumours thing suggest Brooks and Moses are being shopped around for 2017 with Panthers and Dragons front runners.

Seems odd given the investment the club has made in these two.

Anyone heard anything about this. I'm inclined to think its rubbish

Heard similar things today. I suppose the first question is shopped around by who? Club / agent. If its the club I would imagine they are trying to split of one of the two players and retain the other. Paying $600k plus p.a for both players in the halves area seems a bit over the top.

I'd suggest big money investment in a prop, a backrower, a halve, a backliner and the fullback. The rest can just make up the numbers with lesser contracts.

Swapping new legs for old legs for the sake of one season because Benji wants a fairy tail goodbye season seems unbelievable,sure he could be of some benefit but it's a road the club has travelled before putting player interest before the team.

Surely it means being shipped around by their manager ? Can't imagine the club is too keen on letting them go so easily given the amount of time / money they have already invested in them.

Certainly sounds like something being spruiked by a manager and not the club. I cannot for the life of me imagine Benji being recalled a final season- WT got their fingers badly burnt with Anasta.

I know someone who works in the sanitation department at the Dragons who claimed that the swap is actually a reality. Taylor feels that Benji/Moses will make a great combo and will afford us time to balance the books and eventually sign a bigger name to partner Moses.

I also heard that Tigers have had secret meetings with Sam Burgess to jack up his price. Now that his price is so high they wanted to steal A Reynolds from underneath the Bunnies but they caught wind of it.

I also heard from a mate who walks his guinea pig with a bloke in Tigers marketing department that we are chasing Ivan Cleary but only paying him TPAs organised through HT.

Is that the same guy who mentioned talk about the return of Fitzy,Timid,Ashyford and Reddy as a sweetner for the Benji deal to happen, to make up the greatest non-tackling backline ever seen in the Nrl...imo it is a little harsh on Fitzys defence being compared to those other turnstiles but with JT as coach anything is possible at the WT...!
