I dunno if this has been covered or not yet but here it is.

Manly will not be offering $8 tickets for Season Ticket Holders at Brookvale Oval.

This is for Manly Home Games only - they are the only club in NSW not taking part in the $8 ticket offer.
Tickets for the Sharks v Manly game on Saturday 25th March at Brookvale
are on sale now through Ticketek

I just had a look at tiketek and they are selling tickets for

Cat 1 - $40
Cat 2 - $30
Cat 3 - $22

The CSSC will be offering packages for around $30, including Cat 3 entry and transport to and from the ground, not to mention a magical atmosphere.

oh well
anyone who cant afford $22 is better off sitting at home underneath a wet blanket anyway

it's all about disposable income, and if you dont have it, youre not in the target demographic

i take my hat off to manly for their positioning strategy for filtering out the lowliest filth

i reckon we should revoke our $8 rule for the game against souths at toyota - think of the number of geniuss we could save from coming into the ground.

wouldnt it be satisfying to send them back on their handicap-rail-equipped bus, literally dribbling on their own scarves, all the way back to redfern, before the game even kicked off?

you know you like it.

Fugg you dickhead, it is about looking after the fans who pay a reasonable amount of money to have season tickets, it is a reward for being a passionate fan, it has nothing to do with how rich you are, Manly are merkins and I have sent them emails saying so, and so are you, you little stuck up pansy!

Maybe, but why should other clubs reward YOU for having a Sharks season ticket or a Souths fan for having a Souths season ticket etc.

It should be up to our own club to provide some DECENT benefits for STH.

Thankfully we now have the CSSC.

Because both clubs benift, it is a good idea with every NSW club except Manly in on it, I know that Cronulla are very pissed about it especially with the Sludge trophy being played for. You should always look after your keenest fans whilst no forgetting everyone else. The $8 ticket has hepled get Cronulla season ticket holders to more away games, helping both the Sharks and the home team with sales at the ground.
Also helps familys who can only afford home games but can now go to more Sharks games!

Familys are important to the football aswell as singles and when you get older little boy, you will understand that a family should not be priced out of the Market or the game will suffer.

Well join the CSSC and you'll save that $8 on bus fare/petrol alone. :)

As Frenzy said, why should Manly reward you for being a passionate Sharks fan? Especially if it means a Manly fan is left stuck outside the ground. One thing the other clubs could look at doing though is revoking Manly fans' privileges for the $8 ticket. I do agree it should be reciprocal or nothing.

As for your rantings on families little man I'd be interested to see how many of these 'families' have 4 or 5 or 6 season tickets. And if they can afford $1000+, I'm sure a bit extra isn't going to hurt them. Regardless, Manly offer a family ticket for two adults, two kids for $49.

At least he shows compassion

Look mighty spuds part of the problem with league having traditionally been a working class sport is that it means a significant number of the lower class is involved in the game.

You see that with who you play, and who shows up to the games.

I've had to play trials and school matches against the lowliest of scum from outside of the area.

You can see the sort of riff-raff that show up to particular games, particularly the criminals from SW Sydney to the Dogs games, the toothless Western Suburbs types for the Tigers games, and the misguided, unemployed welfare addicts who follow Souths.

Why shouldnt Manly try to exclude the rabble who cant stump up the extra $14? It's hardly a king's ransom. That's why I think it's a positioning strategy rather than some sort of penny pinching scam.

Even if it's motivated by profit, what's the problem? Brookvale is a small ground that regularly gets packed out. Manly dont need to discount the tickets. If they can sell it out without discounting, why should they? Ground receipts are significant part of a limited revenue stream for all clubs. It's simple economics.

And I'm no Manly fan, I assure you.

Mate, I disagree but what can you do? I have not been to a sellout manly v sharks game for years so Manly fans aren't missing out.
I believe in rewarding people who pay their money week in and week out, and because I occasionaly buy an $8 ticket that does not make me cheap.Me and most season ticket holders spend $1000's following our team each year. There is nothing wrong with a small reward for our effort.
Trust me mate the two headed criminal supporters aren't the ones with the seaon tickets so you wont be stoping them from going to the games!

I have season tickets. 3 of them. They were $360 each or something. Do I fit into this demographic you speak of KOTH? f**k I laughed at your post though. Reminds me of a conversation I had on Friday. Keep it coming.

BTW, get on the CSSC bus!!

I got two for free and I will be going, not letting any idiots stop me from attending a Sharks game.
