Finch to replace injured Gower

Sydney Roosters half back Brett Finch has been called into the NSW Wizard Blues team to replace Craig Gower for game one of the Harvey Norman State of Origin series at Telstra stadium tomorrow night.

Results of a scan tonight confirmed Gower sustained knee cartilage damage at the Blues final training session at Telstra Stadium.

Brett Finch will join the team in camp tonight.

Danny Buderus and Timana Tahu both completed training successfully and have been declared fit to play.

As it is back spasms he is suffering from they could flare up at anytime, he will be assessed throughout the day and have a final fitness test tonight. They're confident he'll be fine.
