Buffalo have back up after there impressive first game win over New England by smashing Jacksonvile 38-17 in Jacksonvile with Travis Henry runing for 3 touch downs

Here's the Story

Bills Jump On Jaguars Early

BILLS 38, JAGUARS 17

ALLTEL Stadium
Jacksonville, FL
Sunday, 1:00 PM (ET)

For the second straight week, Buffalo's offense scored on its first two possessions to jump out to an early 14-0 lead. Running back Travis Henry capped off both drives with touchdown runs of 1-yard and 6-yards, respectively.

The Jaguars got on the board in the second quarter when quarterback Mark Brunell snuck in from 1-yard out on fourth down.

Buffalo regained its two touchdown lead when quarterback Drew Bledsoe found Bobby Shaw over the middle for a 54-yard scoring strike.

The Jaguars' Seth Marler connected on a 44-yard field goal on Jacksonville's first possession of the second half but the Bills responded with a 10-play, 78-yard scoring drive. The drive ended with a 36-yard Bledsoe to Eric Moulds touchdown throw.

Later in the quarter, Henry ran in from 4-yards out for his third score of the day to complete a 99-yard drive.

Bills kicker Rian Lindell added a 27-yard field goal before Jaguars' backup quarterback Bryon Leftwich threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to George Wrighster.

I wonder why they didnt play Leftwich from the beginning?

This guy has heart. Just look at his college days.

Man Travis Henry is lucky he was able to milk those 3 short yardage TD's to make his figures look respectable. He was looking awful running for a pathetic 26 yards from 21 carries. If it wasnt for Bledsoe the Bills would have been in massive trouble.

Paully Boy - I'm not sure that its fair to say that the Bills would have been in massive trouble without Bledsoe...

From what I have read of the game, the Bills were always in control, and in fact a lot their starters were rested for the last quarter including Bledsoe and Travis...

Also lets not forget that Bledsoe is a big part of the Bills team, and he is going to be involved in most things they do on offense..... Its like saying that the Packers would be in trouble taking Farve's output out of a game...

The Bills have a huge game next weekend against Miami - this could go a long way in deciding the AFC East...

The biggest surprise of Week 2 was seeing the Bucs lose - they have a great defense but obviously there offense is still not scoring many points...

Priest is looking the goods in KC - he is without a doubt the most valuable player in the NFL today - he is the difference between the Chiefs winning or not.....

Bad loss for Tennesee as well...

Yeh surprisingly Minnesota are doing really well with Moe Williams at running back, but if Onterrio Smith continues to make the progress he is making currently he will be in the starting role before midseason. The return of Chapman either this week or next will also make the running game even more diverse. The Vikings should be the only team in the NFL to have a 3-0 run on all of its division after only 3 rounds after a favourable early draw. If they beat the Lions this week its looking good for the vikes!

Miami's defence today finally stepped up and did what I have been expecting it to do, that was one of the best defensive displays you will see! I watched it at my mates house and we couldnt help but laugh at how much Bledsoe was outclassed by the Dolphins defence.

Ricky Williams stats look very good but if it wasnt for him being fed the ball non stop he would have had some pretty mediocre figures as well.

I think today's game shows that if Miami click, they may just make my pre-season prediction of them being the champs this year come to fruition.

OK Boys ... Lets take a few a steps back...

Firstly,Miami are one of the favourites for the AFC, let alone the Bowl..

Secondly, the Bills offensive was totally crap today...
No yards for Henry... Bledsoe was about 3 from 30 attempts and eighteen interceptions....

The Miami offense was on the field for about 45 minutes and could still only score 17 points....

We will be back.....

Also.. this is the tightest division in the League.... as I mentioned on an earlier post, New England are a genuine threat for the title, even though you guys were dismissing them after the Bills beat them 31-0 in Week 1....

The Bills will be back this year...
Unfortunately for the Bills, they aren't playing the Bears and Lions in their division....

Go Bills!!!!!!

Well...unfortunately we are not looking the goods anymore....

Another flogging today from a team going nowhere, on the back of our OT escape last week against the mighty Bengals....

An off season that promised so much as well....some big defensive signings that have turned into over rated bums!!!!

Barring a miracle....( and looking at our remaining schedule the Bills are going to need one!!).... we are gooornnneeee for another year......

Come 2004 .......

Gregg Williams - goornne !!! ( definately...)
Travis Henry - goornne !!! ( hope Willis McGhee gets over that knee)
Bledsoe - could be goornne???
