Bearing in mind that Moses doesn’t make a cent out him, if we take up the current option as it was done with his previous management.
IMO, I think give him one more year than start working on Attard (who came with big wraps) to take his place in ‘28

It's a weird situation that I can't remember seeing before. If he were advised to take the $800k player option by his new management, said manager would be doing himself out of any money, so there's a definite conflict of interest there.

I think it was pointed out above that the Tigers sticking point might not be the money, but the length of the contract, and having to go through all this shit again next year, if the club activates the club option now. The club would want to lock it all down in one go, which is what I think they've trying to do.

Anyway, it will be a good test of the new CEO or GM or whatever his job title is. Dealing with that manager isn't easy.

My best source told me a wk ago that we’ve been talking to Drinkwaters manager.Hence it’s no scoop that the lowlife prick Moses is aiming to extract b/s overs from us for Bula.What I’m pleasantly surprised about & y we’ve turned the corner is Benji has made all the right decisions re recruitment & retention in recent times plus nobody knows how much of a c..t Moses is to deal with than Benji.Its y i can’t see Bula being at Concord beyond ‘27.

I just wish he'd accept a yearly increase starting from 650k to 900k in his final year. We could manage the cap that way which increases and catches up somewhat.
Luai's mega deal makes it hard to offer Bula 900k straight away as well as having to upgrade/resign other top players.
There should be more restrictions on contract clauses. Backended deals and promises can ruin things too.

I get it, I'm actually on your side Ted. I'm just highlighting that this is their primary income and in these uncertain economical times, financial security is paramount.
Ideally, as a fan, we want to see the fairytale result.
All I ask for, is for the NRL to sort out contract procedures so the club doesn't suffer, as it's whole existence revolves around loyalty and a sense of belonging for it's fans, we are the lifeblood.
Contract negotiations shouldn't be happening when we are trying to build a top 8 team.
