Not too shabby.
Maybe because of our results, but these don’t ring true in my mind.
I’m not doubting his talent, I think he will go along way in the game, if he wants.
But I just feel his impact is not as prominent as last season.

Those stats are weird because I vividly remember if his urgency was a bit better there were 2 tries to be saved in last weeks game

Stats paint a different picture clearly 🤷‍♂️

Great example of how misleading stats are as he has been underwhelming.Turuva will place enormous pressure on Bula to hold his spot next season.
I read somewhere Bula has a niggling thigh injury, nothing major, but could be why he holds back a little bit in his acceleration phase

either way I’m sure Turuva will be doing everything he can next year to dethrone him… I highly doubt he’ll come here just to settle for centre /wing

Hopefully the competition for his spot, will bring out the best in him?
Re possible injury, it was noticeable to me, that they no longer talked about him being the fittest in the club, that has gone to Galvin.

There's only 1 stat that matters. 2 wins and 6 losses. Sitting in 15th on the ladder.

If he's injured he should sit out and get it right so he can contribute more to the team.

He's definitely a project player with a lot of potential upside, but I don't think anyone can argue that he's gone backwards this year.

* Run hard and straight on your kick returns.
* Only pass the ball off if the receiver is a much better position than you are.
* If you can get involved defensively then do it. Don't leave to others what you can do yourself.

The clothes line for hanging well paid players on that are of minimal use could start running out of pegs soon.
Boy may need to hit the weights and get some confidence to break the line and in general. His Christian bubble prob isn’t helping atm

I don't care what the critics say about Bula. He's young and inexperienced.
He showed against the cowboys what he can do when the stars align.
All these NRL games that Bula, Galvin, Da Silva etc are getting is crucial in their development and our future.
I believe Jarome is going to bring the best out of them because he will attract more attention leaving the kids more room and options.

That was a lovely try he scored the other night.
Had me screaming for him the moment he was passed the ball.
I hope for you guys he can start to see more open space next year.
He moves really well.

He looks like a skinny Inglis or a Peachey.

We need a forward pack who can defend and get us going forward consistently. I think Seyfarth, Sione Fainu and Pole are 3 middle forwards that can do the job. Twal is average but he I also think he can do a job there.

Samuela Fainu on an edge is the best edge option we've had in years.

Porter was good on against the Cowgirls as well.

I think we need more signings though in the forwards.

I think Bula, Galvin, Latu Fainu, Luai, TDS and Api will give us a good spine next season. I think there is enough to work with with our outside backs as well although a beast runner of the ball would make a difference but that to me is nice to have.

Bula was pretty good on Thursday night. He is frustrating though, there was one kick return the whole night where he ran with some vigour and took on the defence and broke tackles, but the rest of the night he returned kicks half arsed or looked to pass, many other facets of his game the other night were top notch though, made some stuff happen himself. When he Galvin and Sam Fainu run it in the oppositions 20 they are starting to look like a proper threat. The execution is at times off, and ours halves get a bit flighty when under pressure, or when they’re pressing but can’t find away through, but when they get it right they look bloody good. They’re developing nicely.
