They don't. It's Parramatta's home game and they get the (albeit limited) home ground rights but being a major final (i.e. post-first week) only major stadiums are available for selection.
Okay, play Cowboys v Warriors at Suncorp then.

If you think it should be played at Parramatta you need your f**king head read.

It's not about giving teams home ground advantage, it's about giving teams a comfortable stay and not having to leave home base, while maximising the availability of tickets for fans. Telstra is around the flippin corner and if you did your homework you would see we've won 4/lost 8 at Telstra (home games) this year.

Would you suggest we take the GF to Melbourne if they win? Or to DFS for the Cowboys?

You barely put away a woeful Warriors, while we kept pace with a red-hot Cowboys. This will be a lot closer than you think.

We won and you lost.

Don't give me this sh*t, oh we played better than Parra.

You couldnt even catch the ball with the line wide open.

Cowboys/Dogs was more entertaining than our game but Parra played better than the Dogs.

What? I don't think the game should be played at parra but their is something really f**king wrong with the finals system when one team wins and the other loses and the result is sudden death at the losers home ground. The current system rewards teams outside of Sydney far more than it does Sydney teams.

Cowpats are playing at DFS, parra playing at telstra, i know which team got the better end of the bargain.

What happened to the Tigers v Dragons semi in 2005 then? Why wasn't that at Telstra?
What happened to the Broncos v Cowboys semi in 2004? Why was that moved from Suncorp to a ground half as big?

And the GF will always be played a Telstra, no matter what. Don't be silly Tummah.

Both should be equal favourites imo, I cant split them.

However whoever wins will be beaten by the Storm the following week, only thing to be won from this game is bragging rights for the fans.

In a club competition that is a hybrid between a state and a national competition this problem is unavoidable. The same basic problem is suffered in the AFL as well, except they don't even get home venue finals in week one.

What really can't be argued, though, is that the final will be in any meaningful shape or form a Bulldogs home final. At worst it's a neutral final.

Thats what everyone said about the team that had to play Storm in the grand final last year. Nothings decide yet.

Different finals system, different rules. That final, if it happened this year, would almost certainly be played at Telstra.

The final was moved from the SFS to Dairy Farmers a venue a little bigger than half as big. This was a compromise to the old rules that could only be accomodated with the good will of both teams involved, the NRL and sponsors. The move was justified on the basis that you'd get more fans at Townsville than in Sydney which is undoubtably true. I'm still not completely convinced that this move was fair but under the circumstances is probably justified.

- The Tigers/Dragons semi was the catalyst for the current system.
- The Broncos/Cowboys semi was originally scheduled for SFS anyway - not Suncorp. Regardless, see my point about the Tigers/Dragons above.
- GF remark... are you completely stupid or just blind to sarcasm?

Maybe he/she thought it was sarcasm then remembered who originally posted it and decided that couldn't be possible.

Maybe people should learn to actually let a discussion flow instead of unnecessarily turning into a slanging match or insults. OK?

It shouldn't be neutral, parra won they deserve the right to a home final not a neutral final. It's bullsh*t of the highest order and is not a just reward for winning an away final.

I would seem so...but then again the dogs are a myth.

Yes, a myth that has done more than your club. Actually if your club had achieved what ours has since 86, you would refer to them as legends, but since you have achieved 0 in that time, winning a piece of silveware would be refered to as a myth around your club.

Oh f*ck, the dogs players are opening their big mouths again.

They play better when they keep their bloody mouths shut

Didn't you cheat to win that premiership, and the eels have a better finals record in recent history. The dogs being a finals team is a myth their just like any other team.

Id wish youd shut your mouth aswell but you cant always get what you want.

The amount of sh*t the Dogs have come out with this year, ud think they were undefeated this season. If you dont make the GF this year you would look foolish.
