IMO Dogs need Holdsworth..

Even if he's out of form he's better than Roberts...

Roberts should replace Perry on the bench and play hooker.

Roberts was electric against the Bonkers last week but this week he made me cringe with every touch and kick. Reni would be a better 5/8th and I don't like Reni there. DJ showed enough at half tonight in PL for me to want him back now.

Sherwin made a few uncharacteristic errors but everyone knows he's a confidence player - next week having Willie running off him hopefully that confidence comes back.

There's still next week and the week after so I'll enjoy what I can I think.

good stuff shrek...this whole talking it up business has worked once before...against dragons last year...wish they'd shut up and focus on training and playing. Talk AFTER we've proven ourselves. Millard is a decent player imo...roberts had a shocker and im still not sold on him over Holdsworth...i was getting close but after tonight i'm rethinking...too many errors.

What it is about players and yapping too much? I mean Finch was flapping his gums before we played the Sharks, talking up our "Most entertaining backline" or some gibberish, then we went and played some of our dumbest football of the season.

exactly...some of them are just thickheads...and everytime someone talks it up like that they come up looking stupid. Something folkes should address IMO.

Im not with this the 'Bulldogs are finals specialists' thing.

They might have been in the mid to late 90's but our finals record has been poor at the turn of the century (2004 we had a great squad and should have won it).

I agree, it is a myth but this team is capable of winning it this year.

Ummmmm.....you did win in 2004. Did you mean 2003?

I wouldn't say it makes them look great, I think it lifts them. Seeing as RL is a team effort Sonny's prescence lifting them is a great thing. A big lacking facet of our game is support play when a break is made and I think cost us four pointers a few times tonight.

Full credit to our first half defence as I said - it was second to none only letting one try through - but there's massive question marks over our attack and wingers. Phelps has gotta go

half your backline needs to go more like....the bulldogs are lame im sick of everyone going on about them they are nothing special, SBW is but he wont win them the comp on his own, all this talk about bulldogs being "a real finals team" is a load of crap they are exactly the same as 13 of the other teams in the comp: are not going to win the premiership. either manly or melbourne will win thats it, dogs, cowboys, eels can make the GF and either manly or storm can get knocked out along the way but one of them at least WILL get to the GF and they will destroy the other team, unless they vers each other then there might actually be a game. ALL talk about the dogs being a specialist finals team with a good chance to win is rubbish, and there performance last night shows that IMO. game over

The big dogs forwards were exposed,
Melbourne kicked well, found space almost everytime. Melbournes outside defence was the winner imo, Anthony Quinn shut the play down every single time they came his way.

Best game I've ever seen Anthony Quinn play. I always thought he was incredibly overrated, but last night was an outstanding game from him.

The Dogs forwards weren't exposed - what game were you watching? Our backs were exploited between minutes 58 and 80.
