What about if Craig Gower gets sick of union > dogs?

Dogs were after him a few years back.

Has Sullivan played halfback before or is he a hooker?

Sullivan did play a few games at halfback for the sharks, when he went to England he was bought for that position in mind. He played a few good games but I think he got moved back to 9....

Considering both the sharks and dogs have both said there is no chance of Kimmorely ending up at the dogs, when they have no reason to even acknowledge the rumours, I think you're clutching at straws.

The sharks will need to release Ross to get Mason.

CANTEBURY have stepped up their preparations for the 2008 season with the signing of test halfback Brett Kimmorley.

The 31-year-old Australian will move to the Bulldogs on a two-year contract from the Cronulla Sharks.

Kimmorley, who has over 200 NRL appearances to his name, is seen as a replacement for the departing Brent Sherwin for a lucrative multi-year deal with English club Castleford.

"Brett had a lot of experience in the NRL and of course, he has played in a Grand Final and represented his state and country'' said ‘Dogs CEO Malcolm Noad. "He has a good pedigree and will be an excellent addition to our squad.

The announcement of Kimmorley’s signing comes less than 24 hours after releasing Australia forward Willie Mason and just hours after confirming the release of Sherwin.

This places the Sharks as the frontrunners for the signature of Mason, 27, however they will still have to contend with the likes of the Sydney Roosters, North Queensland and English Super League club Hull who have also expressed interest in signing Mason, although the NRL's salary cap could be the most influential player in the damaging ball runner's immediate future.

Mason has indicated he would be keen on a move across town to the Roosters, although the chance to play under national coach Ricky Stuart at the Sharks may also be enticing to him.

Seems some journo likes to torture Sharks fans.

Is that for real Coolum? There's a quote from Noad in it! Even if it was taken down, surely no journo would have fabricated a quote from a named source, I mean I know they make a lot of stuff up but you can't go around completely making up quotes. Maybe that's why it was taken down...but maybe not...I say Kimmorley --> Dogs is still on the cards.

Yeah or somebody very clever has been doing some classy sh*t stiring.

Other rumour getting about is the Sharks to hold a press conference, this is also via 2SM.

Noad added, “I would like to add that this announcement comes at a time where there is great speculation about player movements surrounding various clubs. One of the rumours doing the rounds is that Brett Kimmorley will be coming to the Bulldogs. I can say, categorically, that despite Brett’s experience he is not being courted by the Bulldogs

"I wasn't aware of that but, no, definitely not. There's never been any discussions about Brett Kimmorley," Zappia told AAP.
"I don't even know whether the Bulldogs would be interested. But, from our point of view, definitely not."

Please we do NOT want Noddy. He's about as currently successful as Sherwin... i.e. past his use-by date.

That's a scary thought for the Sharks (seeing as they'll have him in 2008 :D)

The Bulldogs can have Jeremy Smith if they like. He is an international halfback after all.... :sarcasm:
