Hey Guys,

Can i please just confirm what record it is that Luke Burt is oh-so-close to breaking?

Is he one to two points away from breaking the all time Parramatta player points record, or is he one or two points away from breaking the 1400 points mark (which only a handfull of players have done) - in which case, how many more does he need to get the big one?

I'm just sending out Twitter and Facey updates, and i don't want to look like a tool. Much love for whoever can confirm! :ls:

I think I heard somewhere that he'll be the 15th player to break 1400 points in the history of the game, still a wonderful achievement and one that should be recognised.

Burt is soon to become the 15th player to score 1400 points in rugby league history.

Cronin scored 1971 points for the Eels. So, from the start of this year, Luke needed an average of 211 points per season through to 2012 in order to break that record. If he signs an extension then obviously it will end up being less per season.

There is also the potential for Burt to eventually sit 2nd on our Most Capped list by the end of his current contract. If he misses only 2 games per season through to 2012 then he will go ahead of Brett Kenny and sit only behind Nathan Himdarsh. Obviously, if we play finals games then this gives him more room to move regarding missed games per season.

Burt is currently 5 tries behind Brett Kenny in regards to the Club record which is 110.

So, if things go well then Burty could end up:

Most Tries;
Most Points;
Second in terms of Most Games.

He is currently ~380 goals behind Cronin. It's very, very doubtful that he'll break that in his current contract but a two year extension could see him in with a real shot.

Thats gettable if we're playing well and he is uninjured.

Well, once you get 5 then four isn't out of the question. 63 points in 3 seasons...

If he signs an extension, as was mentioned just after his recent extension, I'd hope a Top 3 finish would be the result.

I'd love to know what Cronin's points tally would be if he'd played when tries were worth 4 instead of 3.

Well, tries changed from 3 to 4 in 1982 so if anyone can find the scoring records from 1977-1981 then it wouldn't be too hard to figure out. Just did a quick search and came up with nothing.
